Title: Two Alarm Fire

brilliant. I love these two. Rachel's way too smart to get involved with Raylan on the show, but he's so irresistible (even if Tim is just as deadly)! Keep it comin'!

Author's Response:

Too smart because the man is a disaster waiting to happen. Thanks for reading.

Title: Two Alarm Fire

I have never watched an episode of this show though I need too, but I love what you've written so far. Even though there are certain strings that are over my head since I haven't watched the show the story-telling makes all of that irrelevant and you give enough t hta I can sort of figure out what's going on and if I can't, I can always google, lol.

I love Rachel and the fact that even though she has found herself in two difficult situations she acknowledges it and it she doesn't let it ruin her work, she's still competent and I really like that even though her love life might be a bit of a mess she isn't.

The way you're showing Raylan and Tim works brilliantly for me, I don't know who to cheer for and although Raylan should be unlikable [really, Ava and Winona?] the way you write him just makes me feel a bit sad for him. Especially since he knows he screwed up.

Tim... I feel bad for him because he seems like a nice guy but I don't know, in this case he might come in last just because he doesn't seem to spark the same feelings in Rachel that Raylan does and she keeps thinking of him as a friend with benefits while it's clear he's fallen harder.

Shoot, he's probably liked her from time.

Great chapter.

Author's Response:

Don't be disappointed when you watch. My 'verse is completely AU. Though there is wonderful chemistry between the three marshals, they haven't veered in that direction on the show. It's still a good watch. Action - packed and funny.

You're right you shouldn't like him but when you see him portrayed on screen and what I'm trying to bring to light with this fic you can't help but feel sorry for him. I honestly don't think the character knows how to do better. And that's the issue you have one where it's obvious how he feels but no matter how hard he tries he can't do the right thing. The other is making a successful effort but it's not really what the lady wants.

I'm really glad you're picking up on the conflict and enjoying the story so far. Thank you so much for reading.

I love you for this.

Raylan, Raylan, Raylan. The man is a walking disaster area. The little dance he and Rachel have going on is going to blow up sooner or later and the people around them will probably feel the sting more than they will. Ah, well, don't they say love is a little bit selfish?

*Sigh* Love. This.

Author's Response:

And I love you back. Thank you for commenting. Yes Raylan is a walking disaster. I did some episode catch up for latest season over the weekend. I can't believe some of the stuff that joker is actuall getting into on the show.  And I agree, the little dance they're doing will burn the people around them very soon.
