Lots of these types of plots out there, just like they have a lot of the Fairytale plots, so to say they stole someone elses work was wrong. This type of plot will probably be written again, the author just has to make it her own.

For me…Ashton Kutcher’s What Happens in Vegas comes to mind.  I liked the movie and I like what you’re doing here with your version thus far.  Most stories ‘sound’ the same or have similar plots or premise…and so it’s difficult for an author to make it unique and memorable however, it’s a great opportunity to explore your imagination thereby honing your skills as a writer, isn’t it? *wink* :)


I also like the characterization and the technique used to develop their personas.  Can’t wait to see when the new husband and wife meet again! Lol  Great start, please do continue.

Even with the accusations of plagiarism, the premise is not new. Movies, tv, and countless fanfic and original fic authors have written pretty much the same scenario you have here. Sade's For the Love of Football being one of the first examples on this site that comes to mind. If you're going to do a story idea that's been used several times, then make it fresh, make it different. Keeping it real, not getting that vibe from this one.
