Very nice. Really liked the back and forth with Layla and Kendra. Once again your writing has made her tolerable for me. Layla reminded me a little of Faith from Buffy. I'm guessing we'll see more of her in Before Nightrise. And Kendra too maybe?

Author's Response: Thank you Blackma, I'm glad I could get you to open up a bit to Layla I am kind of fond of her, I think I feel about her the way you do about Talia. And yes Faith was hands down my favorite slayer so I was definitely channeling that a bit into how I envision Layla, minus the evil tendencies of course! Excellent job greatodin, loved the Buffy mentions of course, though I'm sad so many had to die. The banter between Kendra and Layla was very cute, and the backstory was great as well, very well done. I can't wait to see how this ties into the overall series. Great work all around :)
