Awww that was a great update. I am glad Jarred went to Jailyn. I am going to hope they both decided to keep there kids even though it will hurt Sage!!!! Whats with Jeffery and Saige why the distance all of a sudden. Saige needs a miracle so she can become pregnant with there baby. Great heartwarming story.

What was Jarred thinking climbing into Jailynn's bed like that nearly scaring her to death...but I'm so glad he came to her...maybe after the loving they can finally talk...and I mean really talk...something is stirring within Jarred and I don't just mean his little friend...that talk with Cris has really got him comptemplating this whole surrogacy situation as it should have...I hope he shares with Jailynn...
Just as I thought...Jeffrey really isn't all that interested in becoming a father...he's simply facilitating what he thinks will make Saige happy...but he is very selfish when it comes to sharing her attention with anyone else...how is that going to work out when the babies come (if Jailynn and Jarred go through with giving up the twins--I'm still hoping they come to their senses before they do something they will both in all likelihood regret)...and I can't see how this is not going to cause problems in their marriage when Saige finally comes down from her "high" of realizing her dream of motherhood and realize her husband might/doesn't share that same dream...
Thanks so much for the update...it's heating up...I'm ready for more...

Poker - Freestyle is ok for drafting your work, however, when you are reading to post it, you should always use SPELL CHECK to catch your misspelled words. This practice alone makes the story more enjoyable to read.

Thank you for another awesome update. I really feel for everyone, being no matter what someone is going to get hurt. Love this story and your writing style. Characters and story line is very thought out.I hope to someday read a published book by you. I know it will interesting to see how this story plays out.

This was a great update. I wonder will the foursome change their minds. Saige doesn't seem like she is going to change her's anytime soon but Jeffery and Jarred look mighty close, I like how you thru Chris in the mix with his baby girl and him saying that he never pictured himself being a father because of his past and his parental role models. I am still out on Jailyn but her mom was on point and now that she doesn't have to worry about funding for her law school education I wonder where she will lean to. I want to know what was in the letter that Jeff had that was addressed to Jarred and why he hasn't given it to his brother. Jeff has aways hogged the attention and he is still hogging it it seems by withholding that letter...Hmmmm curious I am. This story is so good. I can't wait til the next update.

Pokerdiva...is it just me...but I sense some sort of dis-connect with Jailynn...she's not allowing herself to "feel" when it comes to the surrogacy...she has her life's goal and trying desperately not to let the gravity of the situation deter her from them...I really feel this is a mistake on her part...and I hope her mom helps her to realize it...I've got a feeling that family means a lot to Mrs. Matthews...especially since losing her husband so unexpectedly and so recently...Jailynn's not just helping an infertile couple realize their dream of parenthood...she's giving away a piece of herself...and the man she loves away...and not to some total strangers...but to Jarred's twin and his wife...this will probably mean that they will have to bear watching those babies grow up and wonder...'what if'...one of the saddest words in the English language is 'regret'...and by not confronting her feelings...Jailynn is opening herself up to a world of hurt...that law degree will be cold comfort for the loss of her children...and they are her babies in every sense of the word...they were not created in some sterile environment in a test tube...they were created during a mutual act of love and giving between two people who have strong genuine feelings for each other...a deep and abiding love...
I actually applaud anyone who can actually go through a surrogacy...but most people try to keep it as sterile and impersonal as possible...this is not the case here...the noose is tightening...I just don't see how everyone can get their "happy" ending when these many emotions are involved...
I love this story...an extraordinary premise...yet it's both honest and thought-provoking...and best of all...it taps into those gray areas where the answers are not all black and white...keep it up...can't wait to read more...

Thank you for the update. This is getting intense. Hoping Jailynn's mom talks some sense into her. It will interesting to see if Jared opens up to Jailyn. This is a good read it just makes me sad that someone would give up there children

I just feel for Jailynn in this. I don't see her mother taking this well right now. I can understand Saige. She is just so happy but she has to feel some underlying tension around her. She wants to be a mother and she will but since they are using a surrogate, she has to understand that there will be some stories she will not be able to tell. And the brothers. I see this bringing up some very bad memories. I think Jarred would love kids just because he knows how it feels to feel 'left out'. This is going to be a very long journey for all of them.

Pokerdiva...I love the insight of each of the characters in this chapter...it explains so much yet it doesn't lessen my fears but rather confirms my suspicions for the characters' motivation of why they are pursuing this surrogacy...I'm very interested in reading about Jailynn's inner thoughts...I think they should prove to be very interesting...
Jarred feelings' about parenting I feel are motivated IMHO by his own unhappy childhood...he has justifiable fears about doing to a child what was done to him when he was growing up...my heart actually weeps for him...how cruel to do something that messed up to a kid...I thought one of the joys of being a parent was having a heart expansive enough to want to share your love with your child...the life you helped create...I'll never understand parents who are just too darned self-absorbed or short-sighted not to realize the power they have over their children...who will love them unconditionally and only expect it to be returned to them...do they not realize the damage they could so easily and callously inflict...something tells me that Jarred has to face his fears if ever expects to go forward with having a healthy, successful relationship with anyone...
I think I was right in my earlier assessment of Saige and Jeffrey's motivations for the surrogacy...I see problems ahead for them too...though I am not as invested in them (which is unfair I guess to some extent) as I am with Jailynn and Jarred...
This is such a complicated situation and a quite unique story...I applaud any writer who makes me think and makes me connect with their characters as you have done so effectively done for this prose...can't wait for the next update...

Uh, oh...I see trouble ahead...forgive me...but it seems that Jeffrey is more interested in pleasing Saige...making her happy...than he is in actually being a father...well, that's my perception at least...I could be wrong...but I keep getting that distinct impression...Saige is over-the-moon...she really, really wants a child and to be mother...
I also think that Jailynn is trying to detach herself from trying to form any type of bond with the babies...I really don't think she's taken an introspective look into her true feelings about these babies and I believe if she doesn't soon...she's going to end up with regrets...
Jarred...I think the idea of the surrogacy was appealing to him at first because he wanted so desperately to be back in his brother's life since they'd never really had a close relationship when they were younger...having that sense of belonging...but now having to face the reality of their situation...he might have to re-evaluate his thinking about wanting children is own...the ultrasound photo might just be the catalyst for this paradigm shift...I believe he might be the first to falter in his determination of giving up his children...he loves Jailynn...it's not to hard of stretch to believe that his love for her will extend to their babies...
I really sympathize with Saige...Jeffrey not so much...but I would have already started having reservations about the surrogacy plan, especially if I knew how the babies were conceived...the impersonal aspect has been taken out of the scenario because of Jailynn and Jarred relationship...
This is really a thought-provoking story and there are no true villains/villanesses...can't wait to read more...you're doing great...and the slight errors did not in any way detract from this engrossing story...

I knew it! Twins. I am happy for Jeffrey and Saige, but can't help but wonder about Jailynn and Jarred and how things will eventually play out. You know what I wish though. By some miracle Saige gets pregnant and Jailyn and Jarred get to keep their babies. But I'm jumping the gun and will stop right there. This is such a touching story and I am really enjoying it. Thanks for updating.
