Does Drake expect Eliza to be content with being his mistress the rest of his days. Unless they move to a country that won't persecute them, I don't see how they're going to make it. And what if she's pregnant? What then? She's trying to be logical about it. I know he's jealous and wants her all to himself, but he's going to have to make some geographic changes in my opinion. Thanks for the update!

It's crazy how romance can quickly turn into heart ache. Add in Gloria's scheme, and this poor couple just seems doomed.

Oh no what does those two have plan? Poor drake and eliza love each other but can't be with each other. Drake has to understand he can love her will all his heart but is not they can run off to the sun set. I love the way he talked to her and stole the sister doll to give to her was nice. love this story thanks for theupdated.

Drake doesn't get that right now because he's too caught up in this whirlwind love affair. He sees Eliza as any other woman and doesn't judge her by the circumstances by which they grew up and which they are still living in. She is the woman that he loves and wants to be with for the rest of his life...she is not the black female servant that has served his family for many years...

Wow, that was a really heart breaking chapter, I wonder how many people let society dictate to them who they love, but i guess in that era it just wasn't done thank god things have changed for the better..thanks for this great chapter

OMG, Chocolate, you are took me sure a great high, then to a heartbreaking end in this chapter. I love how Drake romance Eliza, it was so beautiful. You can just feel the need and love that they both have for each other. *sighs* I know Eliza is scared, but you can't fight love no matter how hard you tried. I knew Drake would be jealous of Eliza still tryig to be with Will. That's his woman now and I just know that even with their little fight, Drake is not going to be able to stay away from Eliza as she can't stay away from him either. Gloria shank ass need to sit her ass down. Why am I sensing Eliza beating Gloria ass before this story comes to a end. Great as always Choclate!!!

When you are that deep in love with someone you don't think about anything else but the here and now and the future looks bright. Eliza is scared and her trying to be with Will is the easy fix. Yeah I could see Gloria and Eliza having once of those confrontations...wonder how I would write it...LOL!!
