I so loved this story, although u did leave a cliff hanger with wanting to know how his family was perceived, and how the rest of the extended family was, or whats become of his father, mother, Aunt Bessie, Gloria, Matilida, Will and Mathew? All in all I enjoyed all.

Aww thanks so very much! I have a confession to make, I vaguely remember the plot line about this story - my computer crashed and all my earlier stories were lost plus I have a phobia about rereading my stories because I just know I will come across something that needs to be corrected and that will drive me nuts :-) I always thought about continuing the story with another one of Drake's friends but I don't even have the spirit to finish one of my stories so how can I embark on this one (it wouldn't be fair) Again thanks for the giving me such an awesome review!

That was a beautiful story. They were able to live the life they wanted as a married couple and had six kids to top it off.

I'm glad you enjoyed the story because it was my first step back into that Victorian kind of storytelling. If you were interested in this story then you'll enjoy my next story CELIA even better. It follows Drake's friend Jonathan and his quest to rekindle the relationship with his lost love and the son he never knew. Forgive me if it seems that I'm promoting that story too much...LOL!!!

I finally finished! You did a wonderful job, chocolate! I knew they would have to leave to be able to live as they wanted. Drake's dad missed out. He could have come to visit them and get to know his grandchildren. His loss.

I admit that I saw this review some time ago and I'm sorry that I didn't respond...too caught up in Celia...accept that apology right...;) In order to get married they had to leave and live the lives that they wanted. Drake wouldn't settle for less. As far as papa Brodie goes yeah it was his loss and that is a sad commentary from that era...

Great end to this story sad to see it go. My fav part when darka mom stood up for her son and that he found a way to be together. Love the story thanks for writting and thanks for the updated.

I had to let it go but I think I did you guys a disservice with that rushed ending. I knew I was rushing it but I promised this would be the last chapter and I try to keep my second word...LOL!

The ending felt a little rushed, but I'm such a sucker for this story that it didn't bother me. I'm glad that they were able to spend the rest of their lives together.
I was SO HAPPY when Eliza beat Gloria up. She deserved EVERY bruise!!!!

Oh Yay!! Great ending Chocolate. I'm glad that we finally see Drake's mother make a scene and Gloria finally got her ass beat!! Aww, I hate to see this end, but you were right. Sweet was right I did rush the ending because I wanted to add that stupid epilogue plus keep to my word that this was the last chapter...LOL!
