this is such an awesome story line. I like the fact that you haven't made the main characters jump into bed within the first 5 minutes of the story. Please update this story on a regular basis.

Well Rogue I think its time to update this awesome story now!! I see the last update was in 2008!!! I really like the story line and that they didn't fall into bed the first five minutes they met each other. Its great that they are having to work at it, its much more romantic this way. You have got to finish this story! It's so sad, but at the same time sweet. You see that Spencer really cares for his niece and nephew. And I want to know what's gonna happen between him and Reese.

I just read this story and I love it. This last chapter was so heartwrenching, especially Spencer and Jen. You have to finish this one. I so want to know what happens now that the dam has burst. I can imagine the weight that Spencer was carrying around. It's like it crushes you.

I do plan on updating this one, but the timeframe is a little iffy. I have one story (Bonded) that's on it's final chapter and I really want to get it finished, and then another story that has about three chapters left that I want to get wrapped up. After those are out of the way, I'll feel better about updating some of my newer work.
But I miss Spencer and Reese too, so I won't keep you waiting too long. Thanks SO much for your patience :)

I was so mad at him in the last chapter for being such a cad! No. Asshole. But now I realize that it wasn't about being a sex fiend or callously ignoring the children...the man is grieving. Now that he's had a breakthrough of sorts, maybe he'll be what his 'family' needs. Plus, he can't take Reese away from Jennea and Vincent now, he just can't. He doesn't know it yet, but he needs her too.
You've outdone yourself with this update. Cheers to writing at its best.

OMG... I just want to cry right along with them. I think that he has always used his sister as his rock. He didn't know what to do about that now that she is no longer living. But he had to know that at some level that her children would be in a worse spot. And Jeanna is old enough to know when her mother is not there on a daily basis. Vincent maybe a little easier because he is young but they STILL need someone to be there for them. And no matter how much distance he put between them, the walls coming down now is a good thing. Maybe this is something that will help them all heal.

I'd like to parrot everyone's response to this chapter...boy, Spencer is being put through the wringer...but he's finally allowed himself to do something that might have helped him a long time ago to deal...he's allowing himself to just feel...diversionary tactics can only work for so long...then reality hits and you have to face it...I like that both he and Reese seemed to have shown some growth in the chapter...Reese has learned to be more sensitive to his feelings...and Spencer is realizing that he's not the only one who's lost someone precious to them...Tracy's children need him and now is the time for him to step up to the plate and be the man that his sister had faith he is...I also love the other players in this story...Lita...so sensible...Frank...so understanding...a well-needed sounding board for Spencer...and Genie...who keeps Spencer grounded and sane...Jennea...my heart breaks for this lonely little girl...who's so lost...and precious, adorable Vincent...who will have no memory of his parents...great story...can't wait to see where you take them next...loved the update...

The ending was so sad. He just needed to let out all of his frustrations and now that he has he needs to take full responsibility of taking care of those kids like his sister would have wanted him to. Reese can help him if he lets her since she has been where he is now since she lost both her parents. Awesome chapter!!
