That was a very sad story but at least she recovered. I am glad that her daughter is ok. Thanks

Oh, I loved this story. So bittersweet, but hopeful in the end as well, which was how it should be. I loved how Shawn's memory helped her though her troubles, even after he was gone. And her friendship wiht Toni was so touching, just a really great job all around.
Thanks so much for answering the challenge Bleeding Pen!

Oh wow, This story just about broke my heart. I hope that you will continue to write so that we can see how Layla progresses.
Author's Response: I wasn't thinking of continuing it but if a plot bunny comes to mind I'll definitely put it down.

I enjoyed reading this because of the ups and downs of Layla. I'm happy that in the end, she realized that the child her and Shawn created out of love was worth fighting against her inner demons.
Author's Response: I tried to show Layla climbing out of her lowest point and it seems I achieved it, thank you for reading.

wow that was some hard stuff to read thru. Letting yourself fall apart, realizing you have a problem, trying to get well, actually not wanting to look or deal with your child..? awesome story!
Author's Response: Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks so much for reading =]
