I can’t even tell you how much I enjoyed this chapter or which scene was my favorite. I’ve read it three times so far; each time gets better than the next. Kat’s silence was more audible than her rants; the raw emotion that overflowed from her in the car was so arresting, and genuine. I felt her pain, felt for her actually. (Awesome job there.)
Each character’s facial expressions and nuances are written very well, making it [the story] great imagery for the reader. Loved when he carried her down the stairs, and then the moment he felt his baby kick but ultimately, I think my favorite part was when he lay with her, watching over her as she slept. How could you not fall in love with a man like that? Snark and all.Author's Response:

Awwww I LOVE those two. I love that he was getting frustrated when he couldn't touch Kat. Touching her must makes him think that he is in control over the situation and that it must gives him something to do because if he doesn't do that one simple thing, he would loose it. This is a really nice story you have brewing here Oucellogal.

They totally are. For detectives, they're really not all that bright sometimes. I'm glad you liked the end. Scotty kind of insisted on that, and I just let him run with it.

Glad to see Scotty and Kat moving closer together...
Kind of curious to see how they ended up sharing a room and if the relationship has moved to a depper level of intimacy... I think it has they just keep it on the low from their co workers...
