Title: Part II

I like that story, are you going to do a sequel?

Author's Response: pmgayles, thanks for reading.  I can't even begin to craft the words to suggest the possibility.  I have so many promises on the table.  But I will tell you this.  I will be returning and completing the stories I have begun.  It's been a long time and it's time to get back and complete!

Title: Part II

I see Beverly is still in denial...figures but at least the sisters dynamic has changed. Even though Emogene showed up at the Thanksgiving dinner drunk (never look a gift horse in the mouth) at least when Yolanda put her shit out she accepted that indeed she was an alcoholic.

This is a really touching because it shows Yolanda always having that heart and love for her sister even through all the shit. Beverly's blind love was killing her daughter but thankfully her sister was willing to face up to her and she admitted that she needed a change.

LOVED IT!

Author's Response: Thanks for reading.  Yep.  Parents can be in such denial can't they?  Em has so many issues and needs help.  Yolanda cares for her sister beyond the glitz, glam, glory.  She's there to help her against all odds.

Title: Part I

Just got back the internet up here and I looking for my password is not on the agenda right now so I'm in but not in..lol!

LOVE THE CAST!

First off I'm the youngest and I'm not annoying...I'M NOT ANNOYING! LMAO!!!

Emogene is a real BIATCH! for being so cruel to her sister, wanting to steal her husband. But I guess what goes around comes around...seeing that she is getting a kidney from that same sister. She is being the bigger sister but Beverly is in such denial about the sisters relationship. Sometimes my mom can be the same way feeling that women can't do the same things as men (she comes from that generation) So far Yolanda is really being the bigger person in the situation to both her sister and husband.

GREAT READ!

Author's Response: Thanks chocolate...I've wondered where you'd been.  Glad to see you back.  I'm such an internet geek I can't stand to be around people if I can't connect.

Thank goodness she decided to make that change. After all that I'm happy YoYo didn't turn her back on her. Mom neeeds some help herself!! Great story!!

Author's Response: Thanks.  Mom is seriously in denial.   Sometimes you realize that you just need to get your shit in order or lose your center of gravity.  Yolanda is definitely the gravity for Emogene.

Title: Part I

Wonderful beginning. With all the sister has done to her she is still willing to help her in her hour of need. I hope when she wakes up she will have a new attitude about her life and her family.

Author's Response: Thanks for reading bayoumomma.  I really appreciate you reading.  It's a story that is hard, and tough to tell, but Yolanda is so much stronger than what everyone else perceives Em to be.

Title: Part II

Wonderful story!!

You can pick your friends, but must deal with the folks given to you as family, and, help us, they can be a trying lot at times.

Such was the very complicaed relationship between Emogene and Yolanda. And poor Beverly, the perfect ostrich with her head deep in the sand.

The really ironic thing about the dynamics of family, is that despite the tormoil, slights, favoritism, and infigthing, they are still, at times,  the ones we shelve years of animosity to make sacrifices for in a crisis.

What an insightful story. Thanks for sharing, Dronellar.

Happy day giving thanks for those we have and hold dear!!!!

Author's Response: Thanks Blue for reading. I always appreciate your feedback.  Surely can't pick your family.  Yolanda has become the one harness that Emogene requires to keep from sinking.  Yep, Beverly the Ostrich analogy was spot on.  She doesn't want to see.  You have a great holiday.

I absolutely loved this story. A pity it was so short but it definitely had a great story line.

Author's Response: I know, sorry baha_malo.  But glad you took a glimpse, and love that you enjoyed it.
