I'm so so so happy that you brought this story out, after 10 years. DAMN, I feel honoured that I could read this.

You know, a couple of days ago i was reading something and it said that children of addicts feel the need to fix everyone elses problems.

That made me stop. Gosh these characters that you have created are so real, so researched so grounded.

To be honest no matter what happens, I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED SERGEI. I'm sorry, it's true. He's stupid but gosh he is a doll! From when he buttoned up his hawaiian t shirt i knew that i would love him!

Your amazing, please don't let anyone tell you any different. Haha, i now have all my girlfriends reading this book! We are all amazed and wish you the very best in life.

Thank you for sharing this story. It was a wonderful read, a well-researched, unflinching look at Sunny and Nikolai's reality.

My only wish for the ending is that the weight of Sunshine's life choice for herself and her brother had not been removed by the virtually effortless way Nikolai is able to leave the ife.  Enemies don't forget grudges and authorities don't just wipe the slate clean.  For a criminal as powerful and self-admittedly bloody as Nikolai was, the simple desire to leave the life does not translate to an equal reality.

Oh this story was wonderful! Just wonderful!

Thanks for this wonderful story.  Glad this is a story you were able to finish.  It was awesome.  I am a fan and when I see a new story about Sunshine and Nikolai or any others I will probably jump for joy and click as fast as I can to begin reading.

wow thank you for writting such a great story. I love reading stories from different authors you guys make your charcters come alive and fun to read. i enjoy this story so much so sad to see it end but know one day we will see something else from you and it going to be good. lol sunshine ask him for his hand in marriage too cute. i'm glad they doing ok and that he finaly knows that his sunshine love him. thanks for the updated.

I loved it!  the Epilogue was perfect!  I loved the role reversal.  Nikolai was so possesive of Sunny when the story first started, but at the end she was possessive of him!  And I LOVE that she proposed to him!  That was adorable!  And the fact she wanted to ask Mr. S for his hand in marriage had me laughing at my computer!

I can't wait to read any other stories you have about these characters!  

Well, I am happy that Sunny didn't get shot. I feel bad for Nikki. I really do. I feel bad for Sunny, because even with everything she'd been through. She was still a bit naive.

I really like Prisilla and Stanislavsky, they were to excellent additions to this story.

Anatoly, I still like him, and sadly I hate that he's in this position.

Onimosity, dear, the three Ss = Sex, Schmaltz, and Schmoop were supremely superior. 

Ah, what a trip!! What an adventure! What a high! Damn, even the lows were exhilarating.

You came along and presented this sad, retched tale of weakness, addiction, and desperation, tangled it with optimism, hope, and honest bravery; dared us to defy our natual instinct to do the obvious... draw a line in the sand and chose good over evil. But it quickly became evident that it would not be that easy, that clear cut, that simple.

Jeeze, I was emotional reading this. Like Sunny, I believe I can tell where I  began to soften to Nicholai... first, recognizing that he had been a good boy forced to harden to survive, abolish love and sentiment out of betrayal and rejection just to chose to rediscover it in order to be remotely worthy of a woman he worshipped.

You presented so many contrasts in some wonderful characters. Mr. S as a ruthless mobster but a kind loving father to a lost boy; faithful mentor and parent to a man he'd grown to cherish as his own. Sergei. Poor misguided Sergei. Anatoly, the loyal Lt and best friend and maybe mama's boy. LOL Goodness, Jacob totally frustrated me. I just couldn't get past the fact that he allowed his young daughter to be served up as collateral, no matter the ultimate outcome. Ben. Ben without Sunny.

I admired Sunny from the start but found myself frustrated with her torturing Nikki by not telling him that she loved him. It seemed so obvious that she showed it, but he had to hear it, as foreign as it was to him; but she just wouldn't say it. Meanwhile Sergei... 

I could go on and on...

I cannot remember the last time I wished so long, hard, and desperately for a happy ending between two people who were so unlikely to make it, who appeared to be so incompatible on the surface.

Hmm... I'm feeling a bit like an addict about to enter rehab. No more stalking. No more regular fixes. Only a promise of an occasional taste. Withdrawal will be tough, but that last hit was sublime.

Whatever motivated you to write again after ten long years; I am eternally grateful. Kudos and a bottle from my secret stash for the next round of pina coladas. You and your muse earned it.

Until the wedding!!!!!!!! Or whatever gem you post next.
