Dawn Austin is a geologist, living her life in Vancouver until she's offered her dream job in Iceland only days before her 30th birthday. On the eve of her birthday, her body starts to change, and with the help of a new friend, she learns that she is a creature of myth; a Valkyrie.

Dawn is then introduced to a world she never knew existed; made up of creatures and places that she'd always thought were no more than fantasy. But her biggest challenge may be learning to live with what binds her to this world - the Elfen Lord, Hinrik.

Title: Chapter 9: Chapter 7 - Clarity

I think I literally squee'd aloud when I saw that you'd updated this story, LOL. Another a great installment, RP. I've greatly enjoyed all the background you've provided thusfar for understanding the world inhabited by these amazing characters. And this last chapter filled in some key pieces, including Hinrik's feelings and motivations. I'm really looking forward to more one-on-one interactions betwen Hinrik and Dawn. The two (non-dreamwalking) interactions they've had to this point were intense, but much too fleeting. And am I definitely looking forward to Katja's reaction to the news that Hinrik and Dawn are now mated. Oh, to be a fly on the wall for that one, LOL!

Was Hinrik's brother the one who sensed Dawn during her dreamwalk? Was he somehow involved in Liefr's death? What is Leelee looking for? Why do I have a feeling that Jakob is not to be trusted? So many questions, so little time...

Can't wait to see how things continue to unfold, so do update soon. :)

Takeshiro "Shiro" Inoue is a star catcher in Puro Yakyū, the professional baseball league in Japan until injury forces him out. An old contact with the American Major Leagues has him returning to the States and to Lydia Holmes, one of the best pitchers he has ever faced and his best friend whom he'd met right before he'd started his career.  They have been close for eight years, the majority of which had been restricted to online interactions.  But now that they are on the same soil, his career isn't the only Shiro is interested in reclaiming.

Title: Chapter 10: Chapter 9

Bana, I have no idea how I missed this gem of a story before now. It's beautifully written with well-developed characters and wonderful dialogue. And it certainly doesn't hurt that the chemistry between Shiro and Lydia is hot enough to melt my computer. (My laptop fan quite literally kicked into overdrive at the precise moment that Shiro carried Lydia upstairs, LOL!) I have no doubt that they will make things work whether or not Lydia ultimately decides to take the coaching position in Greenville.

A truly fantastic read. I'm already looking forward to the next update. :)

P.S. The opening note to the first chapter suggests that this story is part of a series and related to another story called "Coming Home." I couldn't find it here at The Chamber, but would love to read other stories in the series. Would it be possible to provide a link? Thanks!

Author's Response: Thank you so much for reading and for your comments!  Yes, this story is part of a universe that's grown all on its own--I'll send you the links to where you can read some previous stories (although I'm going to take down COMING HOME soon.  That's not required reading to know what's going on in this story).
