Bio:

A proud book slut, I've always loved having a book in my hand since I was 2. Now dozens of years later, I'm trying my hand at writing because I love the idea of creating  something that can entertain others. Single, I have plenty of nieces and nephews to keep me more than amused as well as an addiction to Etsy and a scrapbooking hobby.

Summary:

Celina hates Jake. Jake hates Celina. Can two people, completely opposite from one another settle their differences and find love in the process? How can you be in love with someone whom you are diametrically opposed to? An interracial romance.

Title: Chapter 4: Chapter 4

Those Generation Y girls that didn’t burn their bras, they burned their boyfriends financially, and drained them emotionally. When that process was finished, they then purchased a dildo, and said fuck you to their old lovers.

This was quite possibly the best thing I've read in years. I might not agree completely, but it totally had sass and punch. Loved it.

Summary:

I have always been alone and that was all I knew how to be. My mother and father only showed up on two occasions: my dreams and my nightmares. In my dreams, they were normal people who worked nine-to-five jobs. They were always there when I needed someone to talk to. We lived in a suburban area where all the neighbors watched me grow up. We were average people in my dreams, but in my nightmares, the truth came out. My mother was a city prostitute with a drug addiction. She slept with numerous men; consequently, my father had a name or a face. For all I know, he was just a quick [ rendevous ] to help her habit. I have bounced around from different foster homes, never finding a place that I was truly happy with or that was ever happy with me.

Title: Chapter 10: Slut.

Seriously right now you have me crying. Thank you for writing something that has real characters with real wounds that are trying to get themselves together while managing a relationship. Too many times I get to read books where the 'perfect' people are getting together and that's nice and all, but sometimes you want something where the people are real and raw which makes the story so much more beautiful some how.

Art Historian Aidan Bell and student Collista Carson can't stand each other. Yet for some reason, he asks her to be his new assistant.  Although doubtful that they can co-exist without killing each other, Collista has her grade in his class to think about and so accepts the position.  One thing leads to another, and before long, the two are finding it hard to maintain their professional distance.

Then the specter of Aidan's murky past casts its shadow over the forbidden relationship.  Add a priceless painting, a ruthless art collector and soon Collista finds herself in the position of having to help Aidan solve a mystery before he goes down for the count.  Will he have enough time to teach her what she needs to know about the art of the steal?

Title: Chapter 6: Chapter Five

Check your fingers for scorch marks. Cause that was damned hot.

Author's Response:

Lol, Jamey!  Thanks so much.  I checked and my fingers are fine...but just barely.  :-)

Thanks for reviewing.

Summary:

The best part was that he could see down onto the patio of her home from his corner apartment.

Her curly hair pulled up into something he couldn't quite make out in the insufficient light. It had a mind of it's own, he liked to think, always fashionably messy and due to the heat, most days up. Also as most days she wore a tank top of some feather light material and no bra. One of the thin straps teetering on the edge of her shoulder. A skirt, probably vintage, hung on her slim hips and danced just above her knees as she shifted her weight from one bare foot to the other.

I accidently deleted someone's review as I was trying to respond to it! If that was you, I am so sorry and to answer your question, I haven't addressed if Nick knows about Em's feelings, but it is going to come out.
