I loved this story. It was hot, spicy, sweet at times, and held a touch of suspense. I had no idea that they were already married and just having role play night. LOL!!! You got me good with that one.
I also loved John's relationship with his mother. How he made a note to himself to send her flowers. So sweet!

P.S. From one author to the other: Try not to compare yourself to other writers so much. Yes, they may be good at what they do, but you have special qualities of your own. Rest in them. After all, no one can tell your tale the way you do, which makes you unique in and of itself.

It didn't look like you were struggling to me. I personally think you are much better than you think are. I certainly enjoyed your writing style. Just keep on writing, keep honing your craft, soon your skills and confidence level in those skills will grow. It's like exercising - the more you do it, the easier it is to do it and the stronger you become.

Too bad her first night in town gets off to a bad start when she is propositioned by a complete stranger. Yes he is sexy as sin but so what. His rudeness deters from it. It only gets worse when Kristina finds out he is not only her co-worker but her boss.
Robert Cantu doesn't normally go out and he isn't much of a drinker either but it still doesn't excuse his behavior during his first encounter with Kristina. He also knows his first impression just might be his last. He can't afford to lose her. It is hard to find good, qualified help especially since most people are clamoring to leave San Angelo. He is willing to do whatever it takes to keep Kristina on board even if it means ignoring his intense attraction to her . . .

And Kristina meeting that guy at the restaurant who said some of the same things as Robert was just too convenient. The whole I don't like eating alone thing stands out BIG TIME.

You're working that present tense, girl. It takes a strong writer to pull this growing trend off, so kudos to you. I'm going to favorite this story, so that I'll remember to come back and finish it when I'm done working on my own project.
