I like Judahlove Anonymous idea that the two fathers relationship should be a relationship where we question their motives at first. But in the end they are actually very close like brothers. I do like the idea that the two fathers might have made the pact in order to protect Cameron from her mother and in hopes that the two would fall in love with each other and heal each others wounds.

I can't wait to read more. I noticed that in this chapter that the top half of the chapter is repeated again on the bottom half of the chapter. I only see slight differences in each half. So we are basically reading the same thing twice. Was that on purpose? But other then that keep up the good work.

And Sasha needs time to heal from her disappointment in her reunion with her mother because she is emotionally vulnerable right now. I hope that Carter will still be around I really like him.

Lance was a man who had it all and lost it all. He was down and out and was ready to give up because he had nothing to live for. Nina was a woman who had enough of being used and was trying to start her life over in a new city. When these two meet will Lance have something to live for? Or will he continue to live in misery.
Nina irrates me a little. I think Nina wasn't being fair to Lance. He said that he will tell her when he is ready. But Nina seems a little self-centered in a way because she should realize that Lance didn't want to talk about his secret at the moment but she continued to push him and twist things around. If she doesn't want secrets between them she should also be not withholding secrets either and to try to tust him more instead of doubting him everytime she doesn't get the answers when she wants them. Great work.

Eventually the humans began to believe that all vampires were evil and begin their relentless pursuit of them. During this time many of the younger weaker vampires were lost. In order to save their numbers and families both vampire and human, one faction of the vampires created a gateway to another realm. However some vampires stayed behind as they awaited the time to reclaim their rightful place on the earthly plane making sure to keep the truth shrouded in myth.
This is very interesting story so far. I can't wait for more. Also,this chapter's format was hard to read. You might want to fix that.

So Baden kills Illyana's father, takes her by force and marks her as his mate. I really don't like how he is treating her and I don't think I like him right now. Your suppose to treat your mate better than this. I hope that she gives him hell! Be strong Illyana don't forgive this beast easily. Make him work for your forgiveness, trust and love.
