I'm 36 and have lived my life believing in the beauty and the power of words, both written and spoken. I have written fanfiction for a number of years to hone my craft and even though I'm still learning, I'm ready to move on to the next chapter of my life and share with the rest of the world.
When I'm not writing, I work- hard. I just graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelors of Sciene in Communication. I do plan on going for my Masters but I'm on the fence on which program to tackle. A decision for a different day.
All in all, I just want to share my perspective through the written word. I hope you enjoy the journey...
***Update***
Writing has been some what of a hit or miss with me lately and I've had to do some rethinking. With that reflection, I've decided to take Underneath It All down and a few other stories. At this point, I'm not sure whether I'll ever be published but it is not out of the realm of possibilities. I want to thank all of those who read and enjoyed my work. Your insight and feedback has been invaluable.

Jayden made the biggest mistake of his life when he let the love of his life slip through his fingers. Could he make it right and start anew? Tamaeya had been burned by Jayden once and had no intentions of being burnt a second time, but it seemed that the heart had it's own mind.
I LOVED this chapter! I like that Jayden seems to be able to handle himself more around Tam, like she gives him the strength to overlook his phobias. I also like that he's bolder when it comes to Tam and that he's expressed that he wants something more. Now it's up to Tam to see this through.
I have to admit, when Dana prayed for him, my heart nearly stopped. I was by far, the best scene in the chapter.

Tam is the key to Jayden getting better. I read up on this disease and one woman wrote how her husband's love for her helped her to conquer and control her urges. She's not totally cured, but she says that she is a whole lot better. This is what I'm doing with Jayden.

She's already admitted to herself that she was in love with him and if that necklace is any indication, that she never fell out of love. As for Jayden, I applaud him for stepping out on faith and trying to make headway. It's gotta be hard for him to know he has kids but his phobia nearly stops him in his tracks. I believe he wants to be there and wants to be a better father. I'm pulling for Jayden here.
And of course , Tam. She can deny all she wants, and spout that nonsense that they're going to be friends and that's it... I call her on it. It's a load of malarky. She's still in love with Jayden. Eventually, she will acknowledge it. I can't wait for that moment.

I absolutely...ABSOLUTELY adored this chapter. It tugged on my heartstrings. I love that Jayden's pushing Tam to see what is right in front of her and how Tam fully understands how futile resistence really is. All her resistence amounts to is fear- she's not certain that if she cast her lot with Jayden that he'll stand for her when it counts. I think we're seeing a tremendous amount of change from Jayden and he's allowing it because he truly wants the family he's wanted.
Of course, when Jayden sees his Grammy in Dana's eyes I nearly lost it. He's found some comfort and maybe, just maybe, he'll get better.

Despite the fact that it's all talk right now, I feel like Jayden does have it in him to overcome all of the obstacles in his life. The only thing I didn't like was Tam's stubborn inability to see the situation for what it was. Nancy, in her own way, was trying to make things right. Tam was blinded by her own dislike to see that it was strangling her. Other than that, this chapter was love.
PS...Jayden watching them unawares was just too hilarious.

Besides, Tam wants to raise her children the right way, right? How right of her was it to castigate Jayden's parents in front of the children? That's teaching them that despite everything else, as long as you get what's bothering you off of your chest, you're all good... Not a good lesson to teach impressionable children, IMO.
I still loved this chapter and my heart went out to Dana after that firebreathing Tam gave her...Poor Dana!

Dana will be fine. Tam is stubborn and more like Nancy than she wants to admit. She too is stubborn and a bit controlling like Jayden said. The difference is that Tam had loving parents to guide and nurture her.
No, she shouldn't have done what she did in front of the children. She did it to get her point across that Nancy was a bad person.
Jayden has his work cut out for him seeing that his mother is in denial and his fiance has already made up her mind to keep his parents at arms length.
Reviewer: Anni Grey Signed I get that Tam is trying to look out for her kids, I even get that she was offended by Jayden's parents past behavior but I have to ask, when do you grow up, pull up your big girl panties and move on? Either you deal with this or you take Jayden to court for shared custody- this bickering back and forth isn't good for kids, for Jayden, and definitely not good for Tam in her current condition. I love this story, and I really like Tam and Jayden together but honestly, she's being a bit more theatrical than Dana and Nancy put together. It's called a past, learn from it, deal with it and crack on.

Lol Yep, lots of discoveries in this chapter 1. Sienna is going to be conflicted for a while. She's ecstatic he's alive and back in her life but she's fearful of what trouble he's in. And its going to be hard for her to understand that Sean is a different man. But she'll continue to ground him throughout this whole ordeal. Sienna can't stop beaming, Jason is so wickedly in love with Sienna, her happiness filters onto his, and Layla finally found that last piece to click into place.
