Seeing an update to this story made me drop my delicious peach milkshake...but it's ok...
Now.. WOW...was SO not expecting Henry to declare his feelings for Valerie like that...and I am SOOO mad that I felt sympathetic for Henry when he deserved a foot up his ass at the same time.
I teared up for both of them, because I know what it's like to fall for someone only to have them drop off the face of the earth for periods of time...it sucks!
I totally get Valerie's visceral reaction, and "sort of" get why Henry feels the need to cut people off at random times, BUT it does not excuse his behavior or the fact that he essentially is messing with a woman's emotions. Henry is going to have to man up, and if he loves Valerie as he says he does, he is going to need to learn to let her in and maybe they can both grow together...
Amazing chapter, full of emotions and desires to kick Henry's ass. Worth the wait!

Soooo....when I saw there was an update I was all *fist pump*...
When I read Henry open up to Valerie about his dad and his own insecurities, I shed a tear because I was like...they are letting their guard down around each other and falling in love...
When I read the sex scenes, I went and got a cold glass of iced tea and my portable fan...
When I read how he gave her the kitten named for him, I was back to my hopeless romantic phase feeling all warm and fuzzy inside at how he wanted her to have something that reminded her of him always...
But when I read those last few sentences about how he ignored her AGAIN for a whole damn month after what they shared after he damn near SWORE not to hurt her all I could scream at my laptop is...
REALLY HENRY?!?!?!?!?!?!? WHAT IN THE MOTHER FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously....what in the mother fuck? I mean damn this story is an emotional roller coaster and I LOVE it!!
But I'm gonna need Valerie to puree his cajones whenever he decides to show his fine British ass up because this is some pure and utter BS. I get him being scared of commitment, but you just do NOT do this to someone you say you care about! This is the sequel to Tess and Jay; they have been married for two years now, and are happy. However with Tess being very busy all of the time and Jay trying to make a name for himself in the company, sometimes they just don't have the time to be as close as they use to be. Combined with this and Jay's new beautifual assistant, Tess' old insecurities are beginning to creep in. Can this marriage survive the strain?

They just need to divorce. Like right now. Both of them are blatantly immature, childish and not at all ready to be married, hell let alone adults. They both make stupid choices while all in their feelings while forgetting that they have a partner whose feelings are supposed to matter just as much as their own!
Tess was SOOOO very wrong for keeping her miscarriages from Jay. Point blank period! He is her husband. The would be father to those babies, and she says nothing? Multiple times? Hell naw. Jay was justified to being pissed to the highest levels of pissivity! That makes it a trust issue and we all know how a relationship goes south like the Titanic when trust is broken. Tess basically lied by ommission.
However, that does NOT make it ok for Jay to date and go to a hotel room with a hoe who he KNOWS ain't worth anything. HE KNOWS. Two wrongs don't make a right. I don't understand how people still don't get this! Just because Tess did something to break the trust (again) does not mean its ok for Jay to do some dirt too. Tess not being open and honest with her husband caused one problem, but this Toni issue just ADDED to the problem and made a bad situation worse.
Again I say they need to divorce and be done with each other and relationships until they both grow the hell up!

She told him she wasn't quite ready, so he still pushes her to keep the ring and played on her fragile emotions. He needs his ass beat too.
Great chapter, ready for more...not Jamison though! Where is Anthony!?!?!? He needs to come back for his woman!
You're not alone in wanting Nat to stand up for herself and in giving Jamison the side eye. Stronger Nat is coming, along with more insight into Jamison and his motivations.

1. PLEASE let Natalia's babies (yes babies) be OK! I cannot bear (even though these are story characters) for her and Anthony to lose another baby.
2. PLEASE let Anthony cut ALL those sorry, disrespectful, good for nothing pieces of flesh that he calls "family" out of his life, forevermore. For them to just stand by and watch Richard assault Natalia and do NOTHING? Sorry ass pieces of shit, ALL of them,
3. Yep, I know I said only 2, but this is MOST important.
Can Richard die a slow, painful death. I mean poisoned with Arsenic, stabbed twice, ran over and back over like road kill and left to meet the devil in hell type of death. He is absolutely the worst type of thing, because he doesn't even deserve to be called a human. Just despicable ass trash.

She went through so much, grew so much, and I am truly happy that love conquered all with those two, they got it together and now have a beautiful family and love to show for it! Cheers to them!!
JJ you have an amazing talent that not many writers posess. You have the ability to draw people in and make them feel like they are physically there, just with your words. Reading this epilogue, I felt like I was standing right there with Anthony, Natalia, David and Abraham, watching, live and in living color. The descriptiveness was extraordinarily amazing, and that is such a powerful tool in writing. You really should publish, though I know you stated you did not have plans to.
