I’m not going to service the next month of waiting because that last line just dreaded me. My guess is that he is going to leave early because Marisol is DEFINITELY going to try something, or stir the pot and say the wrong thing about Di and he’s gunna shut her down sooooo quick. The girls too. 2/3 are gunna open their mouths about their feelings on it and accidentally snitch on their mother and allllll the curtains are gunna be pulled back
It's definitely possible. Marisol seems to be upping her tom-foolery. But I'm not as confident Brandon is going to have the sort of reaction Diya would hope for. More on that later. Thanks GoddessWarlord!

Reviewer: GoddessWarlord SignedSo here I am again, months later, because I have not been able to get this chapter out of my mind. I need closure from this chapter, answers, something. I truly have the utmost respect for the writing process but girl....you gotta throw me a bone or something. Brandon really just say back and played her like a fool this whole time, gaslighting her and manipulating. After reading other people’s comments I’m inclined to think that he is either the father of the eldest, the uncle of the eldest, or still deep down trying to fill the role of lover and daddy that he feels his brother snatched from him.
I hope diya leaves him. Doesn’t even tell him or her family, just disappears on a 3 week vacation with a burner phone only. Let them panic and stress over her the way she panics and stresses over them all. I do think Brandon and di are drawn to each other because they are addicted to drama and chaos. They’ve lived in constant distinction and heightened states for so long that being together, when there is so much constant turmoil, just continues their norm and they don’t realize that they are comfortable with it.
i hope an update is somewhere near on the horizon because the scenarios I’ve been concocting for my lovely (needs to break up) couple in my mind are getting worse and worse

Here she is taking the literal fire from hell with her family meanwhile you’re lying by omission. Ugh, I love it. I don’t know how long we will wait for the next chapter, but I’m so happy she really didn’t fold like she normally does.

but brandon living his life just as it was before he met Diya is really sending me! no call no text, you call yourself mad but you move through every moment as if she no longer exists, so what is the truth? I hope he doesnt think that Manny did it. I have a strong feeling hes going to go home to his mom and somehow hes going to figure it out, but i have a stronger feeling that he is going to remain blissfully oblivious to it, dig himself into a deeper hole, eventually find out, and somewhat blame Diya for not telling him, and then leave her life permenantly because he "doesnt want to harm her further". which at this point, i may be in favor for.
as always, despite my broken little heart, I am looking forward to the next chapter!

There is a rainbow of sorts in Diya's future. But I can't promise how bright it'll be or long it'll last, or that Marisol will be properly dispatched (lol). That would require Brandon's cooperation, and he is clearly not ready, nor is he immune to jumping to all the wrong conclusion about Mannie.
Or is he?
