Summary:

Coming home can be harder than staying away sometimes.

Home has now been published on Amazon and there's quite a bit more added from where I had originally ended this story. Hope you all enjoy it.

Title: Chapter 18: Chapter 18

This entire situation is at a standstill. As mentioned by Hattie they need to get some professional help. Alec's anger towards Sean whilst understandable is not acceptable. Sean is not his spouse. It was not his responsibilty to tell him where his wife was. Sean did not owe Alec that. Charlie made the choice to stay away. (She willingly chose that road , no one made her do it). Unless her life was in danger or she was physically and or mentally incapable of contacting her husband and children. Was she responsible for what happened during her depression? No. After she got help and treatment? Absolutely. She should have contacted Alec. She chose not to. It was not Sean's job to do so.

Charlie is still childlike in many of the ways in her thinking. Like a child she thinks an apology. good behaviou nad being agreeable will solve the problem and make the person like you again. (Her actions with Jamie also portrays this).

Truth be told she was not ready to have a family at the time she did. (She was after all nineteen or twenty when had Ollie. In a lot of ways she never got the chance to young and carefree. Which is why when she did have a chance, she took it). There were issues that needed to be addressed at the time and they still do (Abandonment, insecurity etc).

Charlie would do just about anything for Alec and to make him happy, since they kids. He was her world. Her leaving was a shock to his system.... maybe he really wasn't.

Therapy can help them unload their feelings towards each other and the situation in a healthy productive manner, as well as rebuilding a stronger and healthier marriage, friendship and family.
