Aww poor Griffin...this is so sad.  I hope that you and Roxie really talk and work this out.

I like this story a lot, I can't wait for the next update.  But I want to know what Noah thinks of the situation and Amora from his point of view.  It would be interesting to know what he thinks.

Everyone is right, Madi has not dealt with the death of her parents properly.  Like Dante said it is not her fault, she was only six.  But Madi's ritual of not sleeping, not eating, drinking and smoking herself into oblivion only leaves her stuck in the past unable to move on.  I want to know if she has thought about what her parents would think of her behavior to honor them if they were alive today? Matt needs to realize that life is messy and he's not use to someone being in an emotional crisis.  I know he just want to make it go away for her, but he's never really experienced loss so he wouldn't completely understand it so all he can do is be there for her through it.

Yay!!!  I know Aunt Cleo did the best she could and loves Madi in her own way, but she definitely treated Madi differently than her own daughter and because of it made her feel like she didn't belong.  She never berated Jenny or her brother as much as she berated Madi and had a higher set of expectations for Madi over that of her own children.  With those expectations also was the withholding of affection when Madi failed in her eyes to meet them.  Aunt Cleo used Madi's affection as a way to control her and get whatever she wants.  She compliments Madi outside of her hearing, but doesn't realize that she needed to hear these words too.  I know Aunt Cleo did the best she can, but until she owns up to her part in this, both Madi and her will never be able to move past the hurt and eventually have a relationship.  I am glad Matt tried to fix the problem, but Madi's uncle was right in saying that it has to happen when both Madi and Aunt Cleo are ready.  There are 20 years worth of pain they both will have to wade through to figure out where they wanted to go from here.  I can't wait for your next update. :-)   

I am glad that Madi asked Matt to go with her to New York for Thanksgiving.  I think that's progress from where they were a month before.  I feel that Aunt Cleo will be a problem for them because I don't know if Madi confronted in person with her auntie's hatred of interracial relationships will be able to keep it together.

I really do not like how Cleo makes Madi feel obligated to constantly help her out of situations just because she took her in.  Aunt Cleo may have taken Maddie in, but she did not help her deal with the trauma of losing her parents or acclimate her to her new environment by making her feel welcomed instead of a burden who should always be grateful to her.  

When Madi goes to therapy, she will have to not only learn how to deal with the trauma of her parents' death, but also on her unhealthy relationship with her aunt and how that is also affecting her current relationships with her friends and Matt.

I love this story.  The realism of your characters and their situations is a testament to your writing and imagination.  Thank you for letting us enjoy this story with you.  I can't wait for the next update.

I am glad that you have updated, but I'm a little upset at Madi.  If she was going to tell her family off anyway, then why couldn't she tell Matt to wait outside instead of telling him to get out?  I mean I really want it to be the two of them versus the world.  I hope they work this out soon.

Portia and William are too superficial.  Who is the right person for Matthew?  Is it Louisa's jealous golddigging ass with which he will have a relationship similar to their loveless one?  How is that better than him marrying someone he loves? Matthew's parents keep calling Madi a golddigger yet they keep inviting Louisa back into the picture and she's like the biggest golddigger ever.  If Matthew wasn't rich, she wouldn't spit on him if he was on fire.  But Madi will still love Matt if he was broke tomorrow and it is sad that they can't see that.  Keeping a certain "class" and social strata is obviously not keeping Portia and William warm at night, so why are they wishing their miserable existence onto their children.  I know Madi is trying to be all polite and nice, but one of these days, she needs to be time enough for Portia, William, Louisa and the other haters and tell them all to go to hell in the nicest way possible while sipping her whiskey of course. :-)

I like Nyesha and Ralphie.  Their relationship with Camryn reminds me of the one I have with my siblings; its teasing and supportive at the same time.  Nora is probably planning for Trey to show up at the house for Christmas.  Camryn needs to be ready.

Hi, I am glad you are back!  I liked the other story with Kayla and Tyler.  I think that you should keep that story the way it is and create this story with brand new characters.  This story should be in the Kayla and Tyler universe, but not be a remake of their story because it was fine the way it was.  I like your new characters Kaila, Jordan and Canada.  They shouldn't be exactly like Kayla and her friends were.  They should be a little different.  I know that you may not agree with me, and that is fine.  These are just my thoughts.  I hope you are not offended.

I really like this story.  I like the way that the Mercers all are trying to help Theresa and Julianna's friendship.  I hope that this issue can be resolved without anymore complications.  

I really like this chapter and how Camille stood up to that superficial asshole  who thought that because of her size she should be put down and mocked because she"s "different".  That type of behavior is not cool.  Ryan needs to find out who those fools were, kick them out of the gym using the excuse that they were harassing and making the other paying clients uncomfortable with their posturing and fat shaming and this is a place where this type of negative behavior is not tolerated.  I can't wait for Camille and Ryan's first real conversation and interaction.

I agree with your annoyed list of the week especially # 1 and # 5.  We as black women should try and uplift each other, not put them down.  We might not like one another, but we should respect each other enough to accept each other's differing experiences, views and opinions.

 #5 has happened to me so many times.  It is really hard to be comfortable when some parts of you is hot and some are cold.  There has to be a balance somewhere, but I don't know what it is.
