I believe in Arthur's profound love for Guinevere, but until she has that wedding ring in her finger, a man's words are worthless and weightless.
There has to be more than just passion ARWEN shares. Marriage is more than that. Is ARWEN aware of that credo?

Cold baths anyone? This was the most sizzling, spiciest, naughtiest, but most enchantingly beautiful love scene I've ever read! Is there more on the way? Looking forward to ARWEN's marriage, wedding night, and every moment in which they can't keep their hands to themselves!

WOW!!!!! ARWEN smexy scenes are too hot to handle! Arthur better keep his promise to marry Guinevere! A woman isn't capable of giving everything to a man if she wasn't sure of her heart. Arthur ought to consider that!
Did any peaceful talks occurred between Arthur and Mithian? Will their kingdoms be friends and support each other when the occasion rises?
Will Melwas weakened after and if Arthur tortures him without an ounce of clemency and reveal his allies' identities and motives?
How could Morgana replace her love for Gwen, Arthur, Merlin, and Camelot to achieve Morgause's aims? Is there still hope for Morgana's redemption?

Thank you for this much needed A/G moment. I agree they have been through a lot and I think they needed to know how much they loved each other and cant do without each other for them to conquer whatever is coming, which I can tell will be nasty. Their love will surely carry them through it. Their love making was so beautifully written, it was amazing! loved this chapter and happy they are back together.

Well it gives you the feeling that A/G are settled so-to-speak. Uther is ill and Gwen comes with a nice sized dowery. I think Arthur can pull off the marriage he wants. Morgana is very well done here, a villain but a human one. :) And now Morguase and Morgan's plot can be the focus of the story.

Loved this chapter; hussy that I am I've been anxiously awaiting Gwen and Arthur's coming together...well worth the wait. After Melwas almost violated Gwen, I was really hoping that Arthur would be her first...love these two together. So he's going to ask for her hand...wonder what Uther will have to say about that...
It'll be interesting to see what Morgana and her evil brood have planned; hopefully the evil can be circumvented before it takes over.
Great job; looking forward to reading more...no pressure of course:)

I'm really happy so many people liked the lovemaking, there was a lot of pressure to deliver after so much build up :p
I am sorry for the long wait, life has been stressful. But I already have a sort of outline for the next chapter so it shouldn't be too long :)

Crap so I forgot half of what I wanted to say. Good for Morgana having problems does not mean you turn on your friends. Also did she know the full extent of Morguase's plan? Thank you for redeeming her character.
Nice use of Mithian. She obviously doesn't want to marry a man that loves another. I wonder what she will do now?

I'm being slightly naughty and reading from work. Hopefully my comments won't be too disjointed.
So I definitely was not expecting that twist with Melwas. I thought for sure the "him" Morguase referred to was Morgana's devil child. Wow Melwas is so slimy. Yes Arthur I agree show Melwas no mercy. Wow Morguase's plot goes deep. Its doesn't seem like something that can be solved in just a few chapters does this there may be a follow-up in the works??? :)
You know everytime I read your updates the amount of time and hard work you put into them always comes through. It inspires me to work just as hard on The Exile. Thanks for sharing this story with us dearie.
btw- Its about Arthur put the smackdown on that fool!!!

I'm glad the Melwas twist caught people by surprise, although there were a few subtle hints along the way. Yes the Triple Morrigan and Morgause have an intricate plot, but I expect all shall be resolved in roughly 6 or so chapters. :) I love this story but I need to see it through to the end.

Was that really Morgana with Sir Leon? Has she had a change of heart? I know she is struggling with handling Guinevere...
To know that Arthur was following her, makes me feel good in a stalkerish kind of way. I am glad that Guinevere wasn't violated.
You have left a lot to "clean up" now that Melwas has been discovered and I still want to know if that was Morgana.
P.S. I loved that Mithian knew she didn't have a chance with Arthur. That was a great scene between the two of them... well done.

Thanks so much for your review! It was actually Morgana who fetched Arthur (if you re-read the scene where she's reminiscing, she changes her mind and runs out to the training field to get Arthur). So Arthur isn't stalking Gwen :)

So glad Morgana had a change of heart and went to get Arthur; love the fact that he is Gwen's knight in shining armour.
I feel for the princess, and hope she finds the one for her, as it's obvious that it isn't Arthur.

As long as Mithian is not a man snatcher I'm fine with her friendship with Gwen.
Many good men are available. Why does it always have to be Arthur? Is it because of his noble background?

Firstly, thank you for your review! I really appreciate readers taking the time to drop me a line. I don't interpret Mithian as a 'man snatcher'. In fact I find that term rather sexist because it obscures the man's agency and foists blame entirely on the woman. Arthur is a grown man with a mind of his own, and a future king besides, so I think he has more power in this situation than either Mithian or Gwen. Even in the show, Mithian didn't strike me as malicious in any way, she was a sweet woman who simply didn't realize that Arthur was in love with someone else.
Sorry for the longer response, but I really feel that in a show and fandom where misgoyny is rampant and women are already so marginalized from the narrative, we need to stop tearing each other down. I like Mithian, and Gwen, and even Morgana. The men are no less culpable than they when it comes to bad choices and mistakes.

When will Mithian overstay her welcome? She knows Arthur belongs to Guinevere. Why won't she call off the wedding?
Felt bad for Mithian until "a princess is worth nothing if she can't procure a strong ally" line. Did she threatened Guinevere to stay away from Arthur? Or was she pleading for Guinevere to give Arthur to her? What a pathetic, desperate, and selfish princess!

Thanks for your review! I actually quite like Mithian and I don't interpret her as pathetic or desperate, rather a strong and loving woman who's determined to make the best of her circumstances despite the limitations of her title.

About time Arthur gave that LIBIDINOUS AND FILTHY WRETCH AND ANIMAL Melwas his just desserts! He should have done that in Eirinn.
Why Morgana? How could she have forgotten their beautiful memories growing up as kin? Are Morgause and Mordred really worth losing a dear sister?
Is Arthur still going through the political marriage with the princess of Nemeth? I was under the impression he decided he will follow his heart.
It is never wise to marry a man whose heart is already spoken for. Someday Mithian will find her true love. Patience is a virtue! Arthur was never hers and never will be. When will she understand that?
Why won't Arthur order Melwas's execution? He has insulted the pride and honor of Eirinn by attempting to ravish the heir to the island?

The room is hot! ARWEN has to get marry already! Mithian is wonderful in your story!
I'm kind of alarmed at her return! Will she still make a go at married Arthur? Don't like what Julian Jones says about Gwen's wild queenly position. Does this mean Gwen will fulfill her role as the whore of Camelot? Is that the reason why Mithian was brought in? To take Gwen's place?
How I hate BBC writers! So racist! Actor Bradley James looks like a racist bigot in real life. That explains his ARWEN hatred!

Thank you for your review! I'm so glad you liked my interpretation of Mithian, honestly it was a joy to have a female character to work with from the Merlin-verse who isn't bent on evil. As for Julian Jones' comments, I highly doubt they'll break up ARWEN at this point. They already sidestepped the Lancelot scandal so I don't think they're going to replace Gwen. They might add some obstacles, but that's normal for all married couples. :)
I'm personally hoping Gwen can have some female companionship in Mithian. She really needs a good friend after the shit Morgana pulled.
I guess I can't speak for Bradley James and honestly I don't want to speculate on his feelings because if he does harbour racist dislike for ARWEN I don't think I can invest in the ship anymore. I generally try and avoid contemplating the actors' ideas/thoughts/motivations unless they say something egregious or really important.
