I am speechless! You are an unbelievable author. I found myself relating to Val (I mean, Valarie) on such a level I have never related to a 2D character. I find I have many similarities as her - actually great similarities - that it is kind of scary. I actually had tears setting in the corner of my tear ducks! Hell, I didn't even cry when Jack Dawson died at the end of the ill-fated ship Titanic (and I am obsessed with DiCaprio, but anyways that is beside the point ...) I am incredibly addicted to this book and your writing style!  It is rare to come across a book so well-written (I feel as though I was in there on that Fourth of July night when he took her on that mattress. I secretly wished it was me). Henry! He has me wanting to kiss on his tattoos. I swear, every time I think about that August Alsina song! Henry has me wanting to book a one-way American  Airlines ticket to London. I seriously hope you have an update soon because I am having Henry withdraws. Please update, pretty please with sugar on top! I am so shameless. 
I am addicted and that is hard for me to say, because I am incredibly picky, almost to a fault. So ... I could seriously write all day about my unhealthy love for Henry or how much I love seeing Val grow into herself, but I don't want to be seen as some kind of stalker. I would much rather go back to chapter one and get reintroduced to Mr. Walker until you update. 😍 
No pressure, of course. 



P.S.  I am new to this valentchamber thing. Actually this my first time even knowing of this site. A friend, GordanaLam actually recommended this story to me! Unguarded is actually my first book to be read on this site and you are my first author that I added to my favorites! I followed you on Wattpad (as well as added you to my favorites here!) CHAPTER 20

 

OMFGGGGG THEM FEELLLLLSSSSSSS ARE REALLLLLLL!!!!! GOODNESS ME YOU KILLED ME OVER AND OVER AGAIN!

THIS CHAPTER WAS THE MOST EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER RIDE EVER!

Ok! so Henry... my poor baby poor baby henry :( He literally has the worst father ... i cannot believe the amount of things he's done wrong. Who the fuck fakes cancer for bloody money?!!! a sick asshole that's who. I nearly cried so many times during his trip down memory lane...

When he started begging valerie... i just died. I was like tearing up thinking OMFG i asked for this! AND you delivered! I mean I never wanted her to straight away take him back, because even though he's been through all this shit, she's been through just as much. Her demons are just as bad. I'd dare say worse. That scene ripped me to shreds. Literally. When he was like "...PLEASE" i was like WAHHHHHHHHHH!! but then the other half of me was like YEAH BEG BEG!!!

AND THEN YOU DID A HUGE 360 and valerie started to panic and was the one begging. I didnt exactly want her to be begging for him because i still believe he was in the wrong, BUT that's me being stubborn. I do think it's SHOWED how vulnerable Val is... and it just broke my heart. She still has to come out and tell him about that loser of an ex WHO I HOPE RE-APPEARS INTO THE PICTURE !! PLEASE PLEASE I BEG OF YOU!!! ADDDD SO MUCH MOREE DRAMA LMAO >> anywho as i was saying, im glad she did... and when he said "next time I meet you" i was like mmmhmmm next time you meet her, let's see how much she's changed. PLEASE DONT MAKE THEM MEET YEARS LATER PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEEEEEE!!!

OH pleaseeee more scenes with them!!! and any hot arguments coming up? ;)

Their rawwwwwwww love killlssss meeeeeee.... mostly when you see how obsessed he over her... i hope it shows more in later chapters hahahah yep im into his deep possessive raw style lmfao too amazing. where's my henry at? -_-

I think you could do a chapter in Henry's POV without disrupting the flow of the story. You could do like and interlude with his POV of events up to the most recent point. I'd especially be interested in knowing what he was thinking when he first vanished and then reappeared at the MMA, seeing Valerie with Phillip.

Wow, what a chapter!  I am in love with this story.  You are an amazing writer!

After reading this chapter, I wonder if this is a flashback because of the following:

I recall that the scariest thing I felt that night was my immediate willingness to run away with him. To see the world with him. To just let go with him.

To this day, I still wonder what would have happened. What would have occurred if I let myself get swept away by the tide of these feelings he gave me? I don't know. I'll never know.

I also wonder, who is this other person Val speaks of?  When she mentioned, she remembered begging another person not to go.

Hmm, you have my mind thinking!  Love it!

I am so waiting for the next chapter!  Good luck on getting this published!

Great story truly really hits home. I started reading it when you started it long time ago because it felt so close to me I kept not wanting to read it but I couldn't help it. I feel for her I truly do it only gets better with time you don't totally forget just don't think about it so much everyday.

I so wanted them to hold hands and say lets' do this, but it wan not to be.  These two souls are destined to be together, but their work is cut out for them.  I think now that they recognized what they have to do is the first step toward healing.  

Our girl broke down in the end, but she was strong and Henry has some serious issues.  Why stick with him and not know when this cat will disappear on you?

I am glad she was there for him, but he has to win her trust back and she has to make a life for herself--she has to know she can take care of herself and basically do what she was telling Henry to do.

I was so scared for a second. I didn't want her to be swept up in Henry's mess, especially when she still need to find her own inner strength. I was very satisfied with the ending of the chapter. Great job. Can't wait for the next one.

Well. that sucks....it takes forever to get a book published doesn't it?  I've already been waiting since peppie was a pup...Lol   Oh well, what you can do? Just keep me posted so I can buy it. I hope after you publish it you get a movie offer.  Best wishes for your success with this story.  What  about the  other story. I'm waiting on an update for that one too.
