Wow-weeeee!!! Branny has some explain in' to do. What-in-the-h3ll ?!?!?! Man, if I was Diya, I'd really be thinking that Branny has some serious unresolved issues swarming around in his head that could use some real therapy. I'd have to take a pause, and regroup on this here ish! I would be wondering if he still has feelings for this lost love No wonder Diya has her doubts. Branny seems to zone out when he's angry. I don't know ... Should we give him the benefit of the doubt and blame it on the liquor? ( btw, am I the only sheltered one here who doesn't know what 'breath mint' is 😳? That went straight over my head ... I even tried to google it, and came up with nothing. ), but I digress ... I am feelin' Diya's pain! I'm sure her head is spinning now. This was an, "oh my d@mn goodness?!?!?' update! Branny is going to have to do some real @$$ kissing to make up for this here one 🤔. Awesome update! I'm clicking my mouse to see what's next.

Yeah, Brandon did have a moment Diya was in no way prepared for. And your suspicions as to the cause are hers. The liquor was a factor, but there are other, deeper issues Brandon's wrestling with. He has a tough road ahead. The only question is, will Diya be traveling it with him?
I'm guessing the breath mint mystery has less to do with you being sheltered and more to do with me being old(ish). Back in the day, people would warn against taking breath mints from strangers in the club because pranksters and, more often, predators would use the ruse to slip people drugs. Sad, I know.

Glad one of the De la Roy's have met Brandon, though it could have been under better circumstances. However, now that I think about it, there couldn't have been a better way for him to meet 'f$@k yo' plan Chan' (LOL!).
I hope Diya and Brandon can withstand what her family brings. I'm sure it would be easier if they were both more sure of themselves as far as where they stand in the relationship. In Diya's case, how Brandon truly feels about her. In Brandon's case, his feelings about himself, his past, and if he deserves Diya's love. They'll both need to believe in themselves and one another to make it. I would love it if Diya and Brandon could have one drama-free moment where they're just enjoying each other. Seems they have soooo many obstacles: family, schedules, friends (past and present). When do they ever get a chance to really enjoy each other?

Of course, it's expected of Diya, as mouthy as she wanna be (funny as hell). As for Brandon, who is such a sweetheart💖, he isn't too far gone that he can't reign Diya in when necessary. You can still feel caring, love, passion, and chemistry that is their love jones. I love it! 💖💖💖😊

Lol! Marisol is very chummy with Brandon. Question is, is it the familiarity of longtime friends or something more? Diya is really struggling right now. Who can and will she confide in is the question. Brandon might not be the one in light of how long he and Marisol have been friends and how dedicated he is to being there for. But the truth will eventually come out, one way or another.

I figured his family might be Klan, but d@mn, his brother is a straight up hateful @$$h0le! For him to continuously bring negativity into Bradons life when he was simply trying to redirect it was so tremendously f'ed up!! 😡😩. My heart goes out to Brandon on that note. I think Brandon really could use some additional therapy ... for real. With all he had going on in his life, it's a wonder at his confindence in his ability to deal with Diya and her family. Especially given her father is a civil rights attorney. I'm glad and proud of Diya for her patience and willingness to hear him out. It goes to show how deep her feelings for him have fallen. I just hope they can continue to be open and honest with one another. With the challenges they're facing, they're really going to need that. I can imagine this party is going to be interesting.
Now, Brandon could've done a lil more @$$ kiss in' if you ask me, 😏, but then again, I could tell he was struggling with feeling that he didn't even deserve Diya's forgiveness during his confessions, so I suppose I'll give him a pass this time 😉. Dude just betts bring it in them sheets! LOL 😜😋😄!
This installment was deep on so many different levels. Great update with a lot of clarification. BTW, I love the pace of this story. With all of the layers you've incorporated into this awesome story, it would be a true shame to rush it. So, keep bringing it the way you do! 😀
Musicluva, you make an excellent point about Brandon wanting to meet Diya's father. There is a method to his madness that'll be discussed later. I can say confessing his racist past to William is not in Brandon's plans. Whether or not Daddy Dearest finds out is another matter.
Diya is in DEEP when it comes to her feelings for Brandon, which is why he so easily found forgiveness without ever really seeking it. And, as you suggested, he never asked or did any ass-kissing because he doesn't think there's anything he can say or do to deserves Diya or her forgiveness, magic stick and all ; )

I'm a bit surprised that Brandon had no response to Diya telling him that she loves him. I get it that he had his doubts that she would feel the same way for him after his confession. Seems Diya was the one doing all the reassuring on this round. I hope Brandon realizes how much Diya really is invested in the relationship after his reveal. So far, he has had his doubts given Diya hasn't introduced him or told her family about him. But her reaction shows just how much of a "ride or die" chick she is for him.
Man ... after this, I wonder just what kind of craziness does the Delaroy clan have in store??? 😈😈😈
Brandon's lack of a response to Diya's "I love you" is all about his lack of confidence in her ability to see him the same way after learning about his past. He knows she forgives him and is invested, but, because of his guilt, sort of feels like she shouldn't. Hopefully, he can work through that sooner rather than later.
And you know the De la Roys are gonna bring the bullsh*t. It's only a matter of time.
