Wow - oh  wow- when you take a break you come back with a hellava update! Finally, he's shone himself! He was in the room with her- I just know it! Don't leave Quinn...'your' lady may be in some serious danger man! Quinn is good at what he does.  I like 'watching' his wheels turn as he tries to solve this case.

Obviously Byron knows Nykki well enough to detect the growing attraction she has- and tries to hide - for the handsome detective. I can't wait for them to become...better acquainted.  I really like the natural chemistry between the main characters - their purpose juxtaposes the plot quite nicely. Also, the flow doesn't feel hurried nor stalled.and the dialogue isn't repetitious either (gawd that drives me nuts!); the story's cadence naturally progresses forward and thus, never leaving the reader in a literary limbo.

Looking forward to the next installment and the suspense that's sure to come. Nice job 👏😃

Casey is quite the presumptuous bastard isn’t he?  And a liar too! He had the audacity to just…show up at a woman’s residence unannounced and uninvited and he expected her to be what…? Welcoming? Flattered that he’s interested in her? Man- please! Not only that, he precedes to deceive Nikki into thinking Leigha consented to said visit. Wow…the nerve of this guy…dude is really creepy.

Why the change of m. o.?  Is the investigation getting too close for comfort? What’s with the veils, what’s their significance? Does the killer view his ‘work’ as a form of salvation, rescuing these women from a life of deprivation or depravity? It’s so very interesting and I'm none the wiser as to whom the killer could be. Love the intrigue and suspense.

Still loving the story, still captivated by your writing style and attention to detail. Can’t wait for the one-on-one between Nikki and Quinn.

Hell yes so far so good!  I luv murder/detective mysteries/thrillers that's written fabulously and makes me think...Veiled Threat is one such story! And it's got my mind whirling... he was there wasn't he!? The killer was there I know it but where? Who?  The guy with the perfect view, or someone else - perhaps the well-dressed, slimeball, serial dater?  mmm.  And why do I feel like I'm watching a movie with different scenes- seemingly random yet very much interconnected?

The scenes with Quinn and his knew partner Marco- I mean- Marconi Quinn is such a snarky badass, luv him already- were on point. It had all the elements of the ruggedly-handsome, jaded, detective; the pretty-boy, know-it-all rookie; and the geeky lab tech. Add in the riff with the blowhard boss and the DA whom I think may have an eye for Corwin, the serial unsub, a string of murders and the quirky female-lead and you've got the ingredients for a fab thriller.

YES! I'm so glad things went down the way they did.  I'm so not into the bullshitting and the beating-around-the-bush type angles: Milo not finding out he's a father until his kid in dentures! Or some such other nonsense.  It is what it is.  When two people hook up, especially the way Milo and Roddrick did...sometimes seeds bear fruit. It will be interesting to see how they - Milo and Rodderick - handle the reality of their child they created.  Not saying that these turn of events will bring them together, however, they definitely have a long road ahead of them and they need to talk, really talk, and Roddrick needs to stop running. 

Lauren is so blinded by Milo's past, she can't see what's so crystal clear in front of her face.  Even Brian noticed.

Anyhoo, thank you for 'penning' such intriguing story.  I very anxious to see what happens next with our non-couple/couple.

Still very much interested in the story. The other aspects of the main storyline provide a good foundation for these characters and highlights where they are in life but i must admit that i would love to see more Rodderick/Milo moments. For some reason, Rodderick seems to bring out the best in Milo, even though they've only had snippets of conversing.  Milo exudes confidence when in her company and much more masculine/mature than his twenty-two years; it's very sexy!

Forget Brian, he's her much needed past, her present - hopefully- will become a permanent part of her ever-growing future. Rodderick should've come clean with Lauren; she could've at least covered by saying, 'yeah, i saw him at the wedding but didn't know who he was', which would've been the truth without divulging more truths about their passionate encounter. Now I fear Lauren will accuse him of being 'a creep' and how will that affect Milo? However, as Milo once thought to himself and I tend to believe in his resolve: he's grown since those days of darkness. That is his past. Unbeknowst to him, he has a better future to look forward to.

Thanks for the substantial updates, this story is cooler than a fan! Great job!

Though I understand her reluctance to 'feel' for Anthony and thus develop a relationship with him, and her emotional rationale to the contrary...Natalia- and I say this with love - is working my last nerve! Life is too damn short to allow the what if's and the naysayers to be the captains steering her journey!!!  Richard's betrayal was the catalyst that drove her actions into the consequences she now face but should that obliterate the life she could be enjoying?!  Everyone will have an opinion to which they will surely express to keep her wallowing in guilt but will it stop them from having a life- hell no! That beautiful man is offering Natalia comfort, security, himself...if only for the moment. It's his choice! He choosing her!  People meet the quote-unquote "proper" way everyday: they become acquainted, they date, they marry, have a kid or two and along the way, they're still miserable or they're good at portraying the Cleavers' facade.  Trying to do the right thing isn't always doing the right thing for you. Natalia better recognize before she wake up twenty years later alone, life done passed her by while everyone else lived and everything she worried about no longer matters.

Anthony is more man than his father ever hoped to be.  He and Natalia have great chemistry together.  Their companionable existence is very promising for something more than just an arrangement of convenience.  I'm looking forward to extended chats where they discover new things about each other or whimsical moments that stimulate their intellect. No matter the circumstance or situation...I always enjoy the experience.

I've been stalking the site for months hoping for an update! Please don't make me wait much longer.  Truly feinding for my Joelle Jax fix!  😇
