Summary:

Love this story.  I wonder if maybe Madi needs to grow a little away from Matt, it's very rare that you end up with your first everything and like you pointed out she is very inexperienced when it comes to relationships.

Had to read these updates a 2nd time and your description of Madi and Matt's feeling were so incredible.  I was shaking with hurt right along with Madi during her family confrontation and crushed for Matt during his ride back to the hotel.  You actually scared me with his line about wanting to hurt Madi because people can do stupid things when hurt.  

This is truly one of the best fiction I've read.

The way you wrote Matt's observations about Madi and her cousins made me sad.  I know they're famly and her aunt took her in but that's not right.  It was one thing when aunt Cleo was guilting her for money across the pond but to see her cousin doing the same and knowing which buttons to push, Poor Madi! she just wants to be loved by the only family she has.  It's too tricky of a situation for Matt to get into, Madi has to stand up for herself.

Thanks for the update.  I've been side-eyeing Matt since part 1 after he revealed that he'd miss Madi's first performance, I can't believe he'll miss every single show and leaves her alone on christmas. Thanks for the updates.  I never liked Nathan and those comments about Madi really annoyed me.  I know guys talk but to say that infront of her fiance is soo disrespectful, I don't buy the drunk excuse.

Matt keeps worrying about Madi changing and losing herself inside his circle yet he keeps pushing her into his world before she's ready.  These two really need to have an adult conversation, you can't get married and ignore key issues because they make you uncomfortable.

Thanks for the updates!  I don't know if you're hinting at an impending little suprise for Matt and Madi or just setting up for a rude awakening regarding their differences on the subject of kids...either way I live for your updates.  I really like that the opinions of those on the outside have been kept at bay an we've had Matt and Madi in honeymoon/post honeymoon bliss.  I'm sure we'll be seeing Dante and Madi's family's reaction soon.

Thanks for finishing Matt and Madi's story and thanks so much for sharing.  My only gripe is that Matt didn't seem to suffer anywhere close to Madi and Madi was extremely quick to forgive, it felt rushed at the end.

Hi Meg,

I can't really comment on your feelings of the story being rushed at the end as that's the way you felt about it :-) LD Vol 1 & 2 were both quite long stories as they stand. Madi has always been written as a character who prefers to easily forgive the negatives in the ones she cares for as opposed to making them suffer. Writting her as someone who made Matt suffer for his errors would be contra to the character I created her to be. She also personally chose not to let his actions change her core behaviour, which as written throughout both Vols, was someone of a very forgiving nature.
