Summary:

 

Shonti Brown, Chicago socialite and events/party blogger, is stuck in Hohenwald, TN due to her late grandfather’s, a man she barely knew, unusual stipulation of her having to stay two weeks on her newly inherited farm if she wanted to keep the farm in the family or the other partner, Richard Vaughn, would get full ownership of the farm.  Shonti goes through an emotional roller coaster as she tries to cope with living in the shadow of her late grandfather and falling in love, reluctantly, with Richard.

Title: Chapter 3: No Regrets, No More Subtlety

I still like the story. The thing is I like characters like raeann especially being played by a WOC(livid at the entertainment industry, don't even get me started), but and the same time it bothers me because I have social phobia and I could never do that. I connect more to shy or troubled characters. I'm sure I don't share every opinion Raeann has, but she ask the way I wised I did. I guess people would just say I'm jealous, maybe, but plenty of people are jealous but doesn't have social phobia holding them since like first grade. maybe it is because I know if I didn't have social phobia I would not feel that way. I'm through babbling...post would be a chapter long with me over explaining things over and over. My brother know more than enough about me saying the same thing a bunch of times.

Ah, I get what you're say now and I completely understand where you're coming from. She is definitely a different kind of character and there maybe be a lot of people who don't connect with her because she is so bold and outgoing and just out there. Title: Chapter 5: He Finally Snapped

I can understand trying to toughen him up, but calling him a coward and bitch seems too far to me. I saw a video online talking about a woman was cursing out hers kids to make them behave. The lady talked about the affect that can have on the child and that when she said those same things to the mother she got mad. She was making a point that the kids feel bad being talked to that way. Not feeling his dad anymore. He could've gotten his point across without calling his own son a bitch. Yeah the Mom may baby him too much. Saying those could easily do more harm than good in some cases, especially someone who already suffer from depression... I know.
