What started out as a night on the town all by herself turned into an event she never could have planned!

I bought myself a $115 ticket to see 'Dreamgirls Live' at the fabulous Fox Theatre...I'm worth it. In a dazzling red dress, some kick *ss stiletto sandals, and showing all the *ssholes just what they won't be getting. Dinner before, then cocktails at intermission, I'm going all out tonight because...I have a date with myself."

Tiny, muffled footsteps bounded towards me. Faith stood no taller than three feet which I personally thought was petite for a four-year-old. Most of her cashew nut colored skin was covered by the oversized t-shirt she had draped over her shoulders. I giggled at the disheveled state that her dark brown hair was in. The curls hung loosely and frizzy all around her head; her curls extended at least a foot from her head. I briefly was reminded of Huey Freeman from The Boondocks. Some of her features matched mine exactly and some clearly didn’t. One feature was her big, smoky, blue-green eyes that stared up at me with innocence. They seemed to be framed with a few splashes of freckles. She would probably never know how much her eyes haunted me at times.

My response to the Up in Lights Challenge and another story About Her.
