Title: Chapter 5: Chapter 5

Thanks for the update...still have no clue what's going on...I get a hoot out the growing hostility Roxanne feels for Leo...he really is an enigma...I guess, like Roxi...I want to know why he chose her...what does he want from her...besides making her part of his concubine which I'm assuming...but surely he could have found a more willing follower for that...Mod is creepy...but I suspect there is some more tragic about him that I'm yet to learn...I also to know more about Parker and Melissa...that seems a sad situation too...

It's funny...usually when I can't figure out where an author is going in their story by now...I give up...but you've intrigued me so much with this mystical world  and these fantastical characters that I need to know more...want to uncover all of the secrets it holds...and you are a fantastic writer...the story is written exceptionally well...so I forge on...

First off, probably the most anti-climactic thing I could tell you is that Leo only chose Roxi because she was the last one in the cell. It all just worked out so well! But did he pick her to be his concubine? Hmmm...

Also, EVERYTHING about Mod is tragic. It pretty much sucks to be him, but you'll find out more about that later.

Parker and Melissa are going to have one of those really dramatic romances. I thought it would make a nice side story. Spoiler: Everything will be okay between them.

Title: Chapter 2: Chapter 2- Alone

This ie very well-written...I'm intrigued...never would have guessed his line of profession...or how someone as mild-mannered as Cassie seems to be would be attracted to someone like him...I'm assuming that most of this story will be told in retrospect since one of the main characters is deceased...this a fascinating premise for a story...

I actually feel quite sympathetic toward Cassie...though Christian appears to have been 'no-good' for her...she obviously loved him a great deal...was it their final argument that pushed him to a place that he no longer cared what happened to him...how will this affect Cassie...that has to be extremely painful to realize your last words to a person you loved were said with anger and can never be taken back...

Looking forward to revisiting their time together...though it's a damper to know that their love will end tragically...I still want to fall in love with them anyway...great job...more, more please!!!!

Title: Chapter 9: Chapter 9 - I have nothing left to give

Wow...this chapter punched me in the gut!!!  So I had already figured out long ago something tragic had happened to tear them apart...but never in my wildest imaginings would I have figured something this tragic could happen to two people and they still survive...I couldn't imagine losing all of my children in one day...and carrying the guilt that one foolish decision played a part in their demise...why didn't she listen to her husband and her body...she's a doctor for Pete's sake...she knew the risk she was running...yet she ignored it...going off trying to play 'hero' for another child...and in the end...costing the lives of her CHILDREN...I know it was a tragic accident...but really...I couldn't see how Ethan could have forgiven her for something like that...no, she never meant for any of it to happen...but it happened nonetheless...and I know my opinion might not be popular or PC...but it's human...I'd probably be in a padded cell somewhere eating playdough if something that tragic happened to me...my heart just breaks for Ethan...and he really is more of a special man than I'd ever given him credit for...that he found it within himself to not only forgive...but continue to love her with all of his being...

Don't get me wrong...my heart does bleed for Zhay, too...I wouldn't wish anything like that to happen to my worst enemy...and I truly believe she is a good person...but what she did was very foolish...

I loved the suspense and build up to the big reveal...you did that very cleverly and so well...and this is an extremely well-written story...thanks so much for sharing...I look forward to the next update...great job!!!!



Author's Response: Ethan loves his woman and he hates himself for still being angry with her for not listening to him. He can't help it, it's simply human nature. As for Zhay, well I've been told that doctors make the worst patients because they are so quick to rule everything out when it comes to thier own health. I am glad that you liked the big reveal :-). To say I'm a little bit intrigued is putting it mildly...I'm still trying to figure out exactly what caused the riff between Zhay and Dax...obviously they still love each other so much...yet they've, specifically Dax, have spent a year hurting each other and not communicating...what could have been so bad that it caused such turmoil between them...I love Zhay's mom...she's such a free spirit...but she loves her babies so much...

Hmmm...interesting tidbit...Barron and Rosie...wonder what was up with that...

This was beautifully written with only slight errors that were hardly noticeable...that's my little constructive criticism...

Now the story...I think I hate both Charles and his wife with a passion...two more loathesome creatures there couldn't be...Charles doesn't have the right to think about his 'lost' love...ever again...he broke someone...does he not understand that when someone loves you like that you become a part of them...he scarred her...it's of no consequence if she found the man 'he' thought she deserved...Angela chose his trifling, fickle butt...and yet he broke her...hearing him wax poetic about their 'love' did not endear that cretin to me...he chose money, power, and prestige over something far more value and priceless...the true love a good woman...set her free to spread her wings...yeah, Angela had a lucky escape...but why did her heart have to be destroyed in the process...I hope he gets his one day...but I wish I had a memory zapper I could use on that fool's feeble brain to erase any trace of Angela...he doesn't even deserve his memories of her...

And that addle-brain idiot of a wife of his...she's as pathetic as he...she thinks she's got a 'prize'...but having to accept that your 'man' will always have a piece of his 'heart' trapped in the past with another woman...how sad...but she walked into that marriage with eyes wide open...so if she has to share her 'man' with another woman's memory...eh, she gets what she gets...

I lied...more constructive criticism...but no, not really, just wanted to also say that your writing is very emotive (I hope that's right word) and affective...just one quick one-shot and I'm hot and mad for a character that only existed in fictional character's memory...in other words...you did good, girl...great one-shot...I really enjoyed it...

I'm in tears now, Renee...that was quite beautiful...and so, so SAD...I was so not expecting the ending of this story...but it proves so much the sheer power of love even from the great beyond...you succeeded at least with this reader to tug at my heartstrings...and for that...I will be eternally grateful for this remarkable story of love found...then tragically lost...brava, girl...this was beyond terrific!!!!

Author's Response: To tell you the truth attheritz, I wasn't sure how I wanted to end it until today. I also wanted to do something different then strictly romance, so I started writing action fics. But I always wanted to do something that wasn't a complete happy ending. This to me, is sad, but its real. People lose love but that doesn't mean they stop loving. My heartstrings were tugged too, if it makes you feel any better, haha! I'm so glad you enjoyed it, thank you so much!

Title: Chapter 7: Chapter 6

Finally got a chance to check this story out after hearing such good things about in the shoutout box...glad I did...been busy with summer state testing remediation beginning this week...

This is very good for your very first effort...however, I do feel that the relationship between Damien and Leigh seems a bit rushed (not meant as a criticism...just a bit more character development would have helped with their deep feelings for each other)...I also think that Damien's focus is a bit off...this is a serious investigation into Michael's dealings and people have been getting hurt/killed behind his actions...but I do like Leigh and Damien together...I do believe in instantaneous attraction...even love at first sight...but I'm a hard and true believer in business before pleasure...

I really can't get a good read on Michael...I know he is seriously sick and obsessed with Leigh...but why...and why does he seem to think that double crossing and dirty-dealing Salvatore will win him brownie points with Leigh...what's behind that...I do like the cat and mouse game going on between Micheal and Visconti...I guess there really is no honor amongst thieves...fascinating...

I really don't like the idea of Leigh meeting Michael alone...he's obsessed...which means he's also very dangerous...and when he discovers she's no longer chaste...what will he do to her...and to Damien...intriguing...

Looking forward to more...you're doing just fine...eagerly anticipating the next update...

Damien has rushed things a bit he will slow down, he knows he needs to focus on the job.  Michael has had this really sick obsession with Leigh since she was younger, He believes that she belongs to him, he takes pleasure in seeing her vulnerable, but Damien is changing that, slowly she is becoing to ealize  that she is not that fragile and helpless woman. She will fight for what she wants. Michale is a sick, crazy Perv! and Salvatore is no fool, he is using Michael, I will clarify things soon.

I know I haven't commented in a really long time...but newest update had my jaw dropping...Tara...Tara...Tara...girl, what are you thinking...I know she's confused about all the traumatic events that keep happening to her...but girl, a little more chastity...dang...she's coming off as a bit loose right now...and that just isn't my girl, Tara...yes, she's a sexual being...but she's never been 'easy'...three different guys (supes) in less than a hour...too much...girl...trust me...a little chastity goes a long way...

Sorry you're disenchanted with Franklin right now...but I love his pyschotic nuttiness...he's batsh*t crazy...but there's never a dull moment between him and Tara...he just has to learn to reign some of the crazy in...besides, after last Sunday's episode...I say they're pretty much even...and yeah, Alcide is definitely eye-candy...but so far he's pretty dull and still hung up on that trashy ex-girlfriend of his...besides, something tells me if Tara hooks up with him for real...she might have to cut a b*tch like Debbie Pelt seeing she's still possessive of her 'wolf' even if she doesn't want him anymore...

Title: Chapter 1: The Papers

Great oneshot, Renee...you were able to convey so much story in just a few scant words of dialogue than a lot of writers can do in pages and pages of text...this story reminds me of so much the cautionary tale of 'The War of the Roses'...the vitriol...the utter breakdown of the marriage vows...the resentment from both sides...when you're at the place where even the sound of the other's breathing has become a nuisance...and the delivery of the last line...how cold...and possibly soul-destroying....

Great job and you were up to the challenge...come to think of it...this is the first time I believe that my review was longer than the piece that I was critiquing...loved it!!!



Author's Response: Thank you, attheritz! I'm so glad that you enjoyed the writing, that means a lot coming form you. I was really worried that people wouldn't get it but I let my mom read it first and I got the desired reaction. I tired to give subtle hints as to the deterioration of their relationship with his line about bringing this upon herself and the fact that he didn't recognize her anymore after over 10 years of marriage. I tried to stay away from using obvious words like "divorce" or "marriage" or "unfaithful". I wanted the subtly of it all to speak louder. I'm SO happy it came across. It was really hard in less than 100 words. I dunno how I did it when I can't even keep my responses to reviews under 100 words, LOL! Thank you again girl!

Can Tyler and Jade die already...I mean, c'mon...this torture of their victims is just so sick...and the sick puppies get off on inflicting pain on others...it's not enough that they plan on killing them...but they have to humiliate and slowly turn the knife (okay, spikes) while they are doing it...death is almost too good a punishment for their evil ways...glad to see Keisha trying to fight back...and even though Tyler acts like her aborting his baby wasn't such a big deal...I could tell that got under his skin...but Will really needs to shut up...he's making the situation worse for the both of them...I still can't figure out why no one knows as  yet they're missing...you'd think there'd be an APB out if a sicko like Tyler escaped in real life...I just want Tyler and Jade to suffer...I almost can't take anymore of them...great update...awaiting more...

Title: Chapter 17: Chapter 17: In Over Her Head

Three...I love the pic of my...she's gorgeous!!!! Just what I'd imagined Tara and Sam's baby girl would look like!

I'll admit the 'slow burn' is killing me...but in a way...I like that you've taken this approach to exploring Sam and Tara...we already know they are passionate...but the way the writers of True Blood present it...it's all about the wild, uninhibited sex and you have to read between the lines to know there is a deeper bond growing between these two characters...though they do have their moments when the feelings between them are so obvious...it's few and far between...but your take is so much more interesting because we get a chance to actually see them fall in love and see their bond deepening with each passing chapter...and when they come together this time they will have a solid foundation on which to build a real relationship...I love this story...

Now...what will Tara do now that she realizes she actually has fallen in love with Sam...will she run scared or will she truly show that she has matured and is willing to put her heart out on that proverbial limb and go for it...and will Sam continue to be discouraged because he can't see that Tara returns his feelings...that her feelings for him are just as strong...great story and thanks for the update and pics...looking forward to more....

Title: Chapter 5: Chapter 5: I’m Okay With It

I'm so glad you didn't make Sam's reaction to the news of his instant parenthood over-the-top...if I could change one thing about Season 3 was how the writers took a sharp turn to the left with his character...his reaction was 'real'...from the shock, anger, to the fierce protectiveness and love he feels for his little girl...thanks so much for that...and he's right...if Maya is a shifter...then she will need guidance...something Sam was deprived of growing up...and having to fend for himself...I love the cliff-hanger...will she or won't she...I believe it will be Maya who will force her parents to confront their feelings for each other...can't wait to see what happens next...this is getting soooo good...loving this story...please update soon...

I had a HUGE problem with the writing in Season 3 and not just with how they did Sam. This story is AU, so in my personal canon Sam didn't fire at Tommy, he didn't beat Calvin Norris to a blood pulp, and he didn't shoot a man to death in cold blood.

Oh, I've been missing this story Three...thanks so much for the update!

Ms. Tara is having a change of heart it seems...my girl's actually giddy about being with Sam...and she's releasing some of her fears of the supernatural...she's actually allowed Jessica to hold Maya...can understand her brief moment of panic when she saw that red stain...but she covered it well...my heart actually broke a little for Jessica...she didn't ask to become what she is...had to live with the hand that fate dealt her...but I love her and Hoyt so much as a couple that I know that true love will prevail even if they can't procreate...for them...love will be enough...it seems little Miss Thang, Maya...is weaving her magic spell on all the residents of Bon Temps...guess Tara forgave Jason for the Eggs incident...glad she's moved on from that...can I say how much I love Terry...he's so sweet...bad taste in women...but he's such a good guy...glad Sam's finally seeing the virtue of patience...and it's finally starting to pay off for him...he might just get that family he's always wanted after all...

I can't wait for the first 'real' date between Tam...terrific story...keep it coming!!!

I couldn't wait so I quickly skimmed to see who Maya's father was...it is as I suspected...SAM...I knew she couldn't have been Franklin's as he was a vampire and couldn't procreate (though I did love that adorable psycho to my very marrow) but he put my girl, Tara, through hell...and he had to go...so that left only Eggs and Sam as the likely candidates...now, before Season 3...I would have said that Sam would be all understanding...but now that we know that Sam has a dark side...I wonder how well that will bode for Tara...she kept the man's child from him and kept her paternity a secret...oh boy...Tara's in some deep you-know-what...how will Sam react when he learns the truth about Maya...I hope he doesn't go beserk...and shouldn't Tara be worried that her baby could possibly have inherited the supernatural genes from her father (after all isn't Sam's father, Joe Lee, a human and his mother is the shifter)...and since Tara wants nothing to do with supes...how will she react if Maya is indeed a shifter like her daddy (btw, how long does it take for the shifting abilities to manifest)...I'm so psyched about this story...I truly believe that Tara and Sam are unlikely soul mates...looking forward to how everything turns out...thanks for the story!!!
