LOL, DR.  There is still more going on with the "good" doctor.  And yes, things will come to a head in the next chapter.  I can't say is revealed but something is.  The real question is will it have the expected dombshell impact or will Alexx be less than appreciative on the receiving end?

Preston doesn't necessarily have to be the "villian" in this piece.  It could go either way.  However, he's human, and we human's have different frailties.  So I just thought I'd pass that along.

I appreciate your giving me your opinion.  I'm pleasantly surprised that you feel protective of Preston even though he's acted with less than the usual intelligence we expect from his character in this chapter.

Title: Chapter 5: Chapter Four

Alexx keeps telling Ryan that he needs to grow up when she is the one that needs to stop acting like a scared little girl.  SHe knows that she loves the man she just need to stop the madness and grab her second chance at love.  AS for the good doctor PReston what a conniving jerk to leave his fiance on the weekend that they are supposed to get married to chase after another woman....WTH?  Why did he chose now to come forward?  Thanks

I agree one hundred and ten percent with your assessment of Alexx right about now.  And Preston certainly isn't doing himself any favors with his waffling betwixt and between these women.

I am not sure why Ryan keeps trying with Alexx.  She keeps shooting him down she came the event with another man that she knows that Ryan doesn't trust.  Then she has the nerve to get mad at him because he is dancing with someone else...please she started the mess by bringing that sneaky bastard along to the event.  Whom admitted that he was enjoying Ryan acting like an ass until he realized how it was upsetting Alexx.  As far as Horatio goes...dude needs to mind his own business.  The new lab tech is a piece of work and she is going to have problems in that lab because they all have mad respect for Alexx.  Thanks

Wow.  If I didn't know better I'd think you were reading my mind.  Yes, Alexx is now the one with something to prove to Ryan, who for all his faults, has been honest about his feelings.

Title: Chapter 7: Chapter Six

Alexx is a pain in the ass.  MY goodness, for a minuted there I thought I was going to have to write myself in the story to drop kick her ass to the curb.  She needs to get over herself already.  The way she was playing him like a violin please....he loves her and he has been honest about that for 4 years.  Damn dude.  I hope that she grows the hell up and stop worrying about what others have to say and live her damn life.  She is lucky that Ryan loves her crazy old ass...thanks for a great read.

LMAO!   You're comments are killing me.  It's interesting to me to see Alexx being called out.  I love it.  I know Ryan is a screw up, so it's easy to point out his flaws as they are so obvious.  Still, Alexx is human, too, and has shown it in her behavior.

Author's Response: Yes.  I really enjoyed Early Edition, especially the relationship between Gary and Marissa.  I don't think CBS gave it enough time to gather the following it deserved.  But on the other hand there may have been no more stories to tell from TPTB point of view.

Summary:

…this story should be considered AU, because it is totally different from the way Rose died in the episode "The Possession," and Alex gets a chance to grieve her grandmothers death. This is how I believe every life's end should be celebrated, with family and friends and good memories. This story is also a small tribute to a great performer. As one of a multitude who laughed with Esther Rolle on Good Times, enjoyed her many film performance and welcomed her brief visit to PTL, I will miss seeing her on the large and small screen.
