Ok, now I've snuck a few cookies out of Golden Corral in a napkin, but foil, never thought about that. That was hilarious! Please don't let Daniel die, Tamera deserves to have her soul mate. I hop grandpa Wong gets on board now. Great update!

Author's Response:

LOl.  My grandma used to sneak out a roll or two, but my inlaws brought reynolds wrap and took extra pieces of chicken home.  LOl  I couldn't make up this stuff!  Real life is so much more intersting!

Now, Brenda you know that you are wrong for this.  Please let Daniel be okay, I am expecting HEA's for both couples.  Tamera you wasted so much time playing that game with Daniel.   I understand how Amaris feels, I was often embarrassed by family.    In my immediate family it was my oldest brother, I didn't claim him for many years.  I can't wait to read what happens next.  So Amaris does acknowledge Selah's jealousy.  I love Mark and Jayla they are good people.  Her mama and Selah need Jesus and need to drowned in a whole vat of holy water!! This chapter hurt my heart, please don't kill off Daniel!!

Author's Response:

Now pmgayles, there's nothing like a little angst to keep things interesting.  LOL.  I like Daniel too much to let him go and baby does need a daddy!

The difference between Mama Paula and Seleah is that Mama just like to have fun and Seleah likes money.

Remember what Mark said about her.  LOL

Thanks for the review.  More to come soon.

Title: Chapter 11 There Really Is No Place Like Home II

OMGoodness NOOOOOOOOoooooo!

Daniel know how to be persausive and get something he really want his way mmm mmm mm. :D

Amaris family well part of her family anyway is a hot tomatillo mess.  Seleah I expected but Mom come on.  I love Jullian though he took it in stride and kept it pushing :D.

Mr. Wong I don't know what to say about him hopefully he will come around when the baby comes.

The other scene I am devastated and hope that all works out in favor and blessing so much time has been wasted on mediocre things and now they were try to get it together for their love and their family they have started.  I was glad to hear Tam say she needed counselling too.

Thank you so much for my fix a very interesting development and the cliffhanger to boot.

I made it short today on my review because I think in the past I may have been giving away spoilers and I did not want 2 do that so tried to make a conscious effort not to get carried away.

Happy writing and please please please update again soon cause I did not see this development coming at all you definitely got me there.

I wasn't sure where the story was going at first. But with Tam cramping, I thought she was having a miscarraige. The shooting at the store was a surprise. I hope Daniel makes a complete recovery.

So I read that Paula & Seleah stole food from the restaurant, but then it was mentioned as they walked out with Jalyn all of their purses were packed. Did Jalyn steal food too? That scence might have been embarrassing for Amaris but it was so funny!

Author's Response:

Yes, they all took food.  LOL.  It's something that their mother had always done, so they do it too.  They feel that since it's all you can eat, that they have the right to the food.  It was a funny scene and my in laws used to do it all the time. I would always go back to the car ahead of them!  LOL

Title: The Cast

QUOTE:

Author's Response:

Ah, well Seleah doesn't see it that way. LOL.  Amaris knows she is lying about the child support which is why she called it and Seleah got mad!  You called Seleah lazy, but remember she has a PART TIME job at the Dollar General.  She feels that is sufficient and whatever else she needs, others need to step up to the plate.  LOL.

Believe me, I've lived it!  I know of someone who charged their mother to take her to the grocery store.  Mom could not go unless she paid them gas money and then the mom would call my house asking for the money.  Then after she was taken to the store, the person who charged her would come over and help eat the food she bought.  Of course the money and food always ran out before the end of the month and these were GROWN CHILDREN doing this.  Mom just couldn't say no to them, but she could call my house asking for money to tide her over until the end of the month!

I could write a whole book on people like Amaris family.  LOL.

Thundakat: All I can do is laugh cause sad thing is I myself know a couple of people just like that and "Dollar General" come on now Brenda you and I both know they don't get that much business and the one's I always go to are clutter and stuff all over the place so it's not like the employees are zoning (cleaning up) areas in the store so Seleah more then not doing anything during the part-time she is there so I am still sticking my my lazy, trifling comment....LOL LOL LOL!  I am loving it and Julian is taken it in stride.  I know Demaris is going to be successful and the Seleah and those two other knuckle heads will add him to the list of who to try and bleed dry for monetary gain.  Amaris already said that out of the 3 of Seleah's kids Dem is the only one she likes and here I was thinkiing the other two were like older but nope the are trifling at an early age and you would think they would try and take after their brother's example but noooo they taking after their mom.  Little man would have been waking up wonder what truck hit him after whinning he did not want to clean up cause he was play the 360 pleeeeze.

Thank you.....waiting for more. LOL!  Greedy I know

Author's Response:

LOL!! Thunderkat:

Why do you think she likes working at the Dollar General???? She would never make it at the Dollar Tree.  It's much too busy!!!  LOL.  I haven't started the next chapter, but I keep thinking of my scenerio's with my family at Golden Corral and how they bring reyolds wrap and be sneaking out food!!!!  LOL  More to come soon!

Ok, sorry, you have ways too many stereotypical premises in this read. I can't continue. Tamera and Daniel's relationship is a right turn off. The language used doesn't help me to want to continue reading as well.

Too bad. The main premise was interesting and a change, but you allowed your imagination  to stretch only so far.....sad really.

Author's Response:

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I appreciate the feedback.  Many of the things I have written were not things just out of my head, but things that I have actually seen and experienced over my lifetime.  These type of people do exist whether we want to acknowledge them or not.  Thanks for the review.

Hope Julian isn't biting off more that he can chew by taking the whole crowd to eat. At least her family is receptive of him eventhough some of them seem money hungry.

Author's Response:

The only money hungry one is Seleah. (Her children follow her lead)  The mom is just happy that her baby has found someone she considers a great catch. Thanks for the review.

I KNEW they were going to go to Golden Corral even before I read it. LOL.  Her family is a mess....I think Mrs. Wilmington was hurt in some kind of way...she seems to be old school...my instinct is telling me that if not her then someone very close to her was hurt by a white man and it had an effect on her life. I guess I will learn soon as the story goes on.

Author's Response:

Where else were they going to go?  LOL.  Golden Corral is like the big thing among poor people.  All you can eat at one price!  My husband grew up in the projects and I have seen all of the things mentioned in my story. LOL.  Mrs. Wilmngton has some issues and I'm considering elaborating on it in future chapters.  Thanks for the review.

Title: Chapter 10 There Really Is No Place Like Home

Julian's reaction to Amaris' family was entertaining. He and Paula were on another level. They flattered each other and kid around. Seleah was the still waiting for hand-outs instead of trying to help herself. Seeing Julian with Amaris made her jealous. And Jaylyn seems to have her life together and was happy for the couple.

Author's Response:

You were right on point with your comments.  Seleah is jealous of Amaris. Jaylyn on the other hand is closer to her sister and has looked up to her even if she is the older sister.  Seleah wants what Amaris has, but didn't want to work hard to get where she is.  People don't want to change their behavior, but want different results and it doesn't work that way.  Amaris puts up with her because of Demaris.  He looks up to Amaris and she's jealous of that also.

Even though I personally have not lived IN the projects, they were in my neighborhood, I went to school with people who lived there and my husband's family lived there.  The scenerios I listed in the story are the better ones.  Some people see them as my imagination running wild when in fact, I lived and walked this stuff!  It's better to laugh about it than to cry.  I try to present it in a funny way, but it is MY reality.

Thanks for the review!

Paula's reaction to the engagement was so comforting after Mrs. Wilmington's shocking comments. She's a piece of work though (checking out Julian's package). Julian seems to just roll with it.

Author's Response:

Now, now!  She was just a concerned mother who only wants the best for her baby.  LOL
