Wow!!! Russell is jealous, because he was a coward back in the day, when he could have had what Maxie has now. Ijust hope he leave Selma alone and don't do anything stupid. I think the man needs help bad.

Russ is jealous of Maxie. He's not stupid though, and he won't make a move on his brother's woman. Russ is an analytical type of guy. Everything is black and white and moving on your brother's woman as well as cheating is a big no no in his book. More is coming soon.

Russel the ahole as struck again, the jealousy is eating him up. Russell is such a punk, I am waiting on Maxie to beat him like he stole his dollar especially with the way he is drooling over Selma. I hope that Russel doesn't do anything stupid as Maxie will kill him if he lays one finger on Selma. Russell is so disrepectful and angry at himself for not pursuing a sister. He keeps saying that he loves Kelly but he never said that he was happy with her and his life. Russell you are such a wuss!!! Thank you Brenda for another amazing chapter!!

Let me give it to you for being a wonderful writer. I truly enjoy your stories. I would love for the new couple to have twins, a boy and a girl. They are both up in age and that would be great. Now as for Russ, he makes my teeth itch. Why is he so mean to his brother? It’s not his brother’s fault he was not man enough to pursue the girl/woman he was interested in.
Now what if during the Christmas Holiday, he ran into the old crush while shopping. She could be happily married with children as well just so he can have closure. I never want him to break his vows and cheat but please give this man what he needs.
I LOVE how the Selma’s boys are handling themselves. What are their grades like? What fields are they going into after school? This would be nice to know, and it would put Russ in his place. Selma has given Maxie all he has every hoped and dreamed of. I love it being forty four (44); I it makes me feel good reading about an older couple. Not some hard body 21-22 year old.
Now please, please do not be offended by comments. I love your style of writing. This is your story. You write it anyway you want. I will read it regardless. Thank you for blessing us with another great story.

Hi Roslyn: You must be in my head. LOL. Russ will meet his girl again, but not like you have envisioned her. He will not cheat. As for the baby(ies) you are right on track and I won't say anymore right now to spoil it.
I did say that Stephen was a straight A student and planned on being a CPA. I haven't decided on the other boy's careers yet. I'm open for suggestions on that.
Yes, I try do write about different people all ages. It is hard for me do do high school because of my age now and I can't hardly stand reading a high school fic anymore. Yeah, I'm getting old. I can read some college fics but mostly I like the adult action. LOL.

I want to know what Russell's crush looked like in high school. Who is this girl? I mean I do not want Russell and Kelly's marriage broke up, but it would be interesting to see how Russell would react if he ran into the girl he was crazy about in school, but was a punk and coward and did nothing about it. Kelly seems like a real nice woman, which is one reason why I do not want Russell to go any further in his thinking about being with a black woman. Kelly would not deserve his bullsh*t and issues he never resolved. So, an impromtu meeting with his crush would probably be a bad idea. But if he was single, I would want his racist behind to become sprung on his highschool crush if he were to see her again.

Stephen's behavior is just so rotten. The disrespectful way he talks to his mother...arghh! Anyhow, for all his smack talking, I'm glad that he and Maxie now have an understanding. Dude clearly still has issues, but it wouldn't surprise me if he is the very brother that will be wrapped around the baby's little finger.
Would've loved to have been a fly on the wall to hear the mini lecture the Pastor gave to Selma. Wonder did he offer her prayer. lol

Yes Stephen was very disrespectful to his mother, and later felt bad about it. He's a hothead just like Terry said and he's speaks before he thinks at times. Yes I think that the baby will have all three of them wrapped around it's finger. LOL the pastor is a little bit ticked off that his friend's wife has moved on with here life. I'm really enjoying this story, as I do all your stories, Brenda.
Steven's late father was such a hypocrite, and obviously a really selfish and self-centered person. I can't believe he had the nerve to justify cheating on his wife and make his son keep his secret all these years. Secrets do however have a way of getting out, so we'll see...
I can understand Selma's reluctance to be a mother again at 45, but she knows how much this means to Maxie, and, though unplanned it's their miracle, so hopefully she'll fully come around and embrace it.
Selma's boys took the news better than I thought they would; I just hope they can now move on and become a family and embrace the new addition that will be along in a few months.
Wonder how Maxie's family will react to the news of the baby...

Thanks for the review! Stephen Sr. was very selfish. The boys (especially Matt) was worried about losing their mother to Maxie. Now that they know that Maxie wants to be a family, they can handle it a lot better.
Selma is a little worried about the pregnancy, but Maxie is going to be right there to help her through it.
As for the family...I'm going to have some fun with that one!

To bad Stephen, Sr was cheating on his wife and told his son not to say anything and that all men cheated. I wonder if Selam knew but stayed with him because of their children. She did state that he was selfish. I knew Maxie was going to be upset when he thought that Selma had an abortion but to go all caveman was a surprise.I wanted to cry when Matthew told his mother that he wasn't going to be the baby anymore and that she was leaving them. Maxie told her about herself, and it was good!!! Stephen needs to apologize to his momma and Maxie both, he also needs to tell his momma about his father cheating. Stephen Sr. was a low-down, dirty dog who needed to nuertered or is it spayed. I don't like man, his getting diabeties and dying was karma coming back to bite him in the ass.
