Yes, Z kept Chase from her father but at the time she did what she did for his own good.  As famous as he is there is a POSSIBILTY with a wife and child he may not have been where he is.  Having said that, you can't undo the past ESPECIALLY when Matt has heard what his mum did to Z.  He has not discussed it with Z he is still using his anger against Z.  He is manipualting her by using their child.  Chase is a CHILD, parents make decisions for their children.  Since Matt has custody of Chase then if he wants her own tour then so be it.  Manipulating Z into going on tour is unfair is all ways.  Should she become his kept baby mama?  Becoming totally financially dependant on him.  Where will she be then?  Matt has crossed all sort of lines, what's next?  Sex in exchange for staying in her own child's life?  She has a career that she has fought to atain and she did it as a single mum.  So she is supposed to give up her career for Matt?

Chase has a right to her father but his actions (in the real world, not in a story) would push any woman to swallow her pride, call her father and get her trust fund released so she can find a real lawyer.  NO JUDGE in his right mind would have given sole custody of a female child to it's father unless the mother was unfit somehow, and a primary school teacher spearheading a pilot learning program is not unfit.  Z let Matt steamroll her into this crazy custody situation over her guilt about Chase not having a father. 

Z needs to put on her big girl pants, she is not a doormat for Matt to take his angst out on, nor should she tolerate Matt using Chase to manipulate her into going on tour.  What's next?  Matt getting her into bed.  Her having SEX with a man who still has issues with her; as much as Matt wants Z, he still HATES her for keeping Chase from him. He won't even call his mum on the bullshit she did.  It's ALL Z's fault.  Matt needs to GROW up.  Fall on his knees and thank GOD that Z did not abort his child, give her up for adoption or hook up with a loser to help her raise Z.  Z's own mother has issues which is why Z did not ask her father for her trust to help her pay for A DECENT lawyer but was quick to point out what Z did WRONG in reference to Chase and Matt.  Hindsight is always 20/20.

You are an EXCELLENT writer but I will be disapointed if this whole story is about Z acquiescing to Matt over Chase's first four years of life.  Z is a good mum but a good mum also shows her daughter how strong she is by not being a doormat.  She apologizes for her mistakes, tries to do better and does not let someone (like a man) use her mistakes to break her down or manipulate her.  Put Chase in family theraphy if she feels the need but stop letting Chase (and Matt) manipulate her.  Chase is not stupid, she damn well knows her father is not going anywhere and she is also smart enough to have figured out the family dynamics and to stop manipulating her parents by asking them to kiss.  Children will try you, its up to you to stop them.

Sorry for writing so much, I just saw the story going somewhere that in the real world would not pass the smell test.  Don't stop writing; you're good at it.

This is one of my favorite stories on this site; I get giddy when I see there has been an update.  I feel sorry for Miguel but the heart wants what the heart wants.  On paper, Miquel is the perfect man for Z but Matt has her heart.  I think Z is finally realizing that fact, but for some reason she's still leading the man on; he deserves better.  

Poor Chase, she brought tears to my eyes and Matt's reaction was heart wrenching too.

Understand Z has some explaining, what about his mom who start her down this path because of need for money and security.  Matt heard that conversation.  Great job

I believe that Man Is pissed!

I sat trying to figure out why I love this story so much.  It has to b the love Matt has for his daughter.  She may have missed four years with him but you would never know it. I think that was brilliant to threaten to take Chase if she refuse to move into the house.  That way he could be with both of them.   Matt is a smart guy. He got rid of Lizbeth and it looks like he is about to reclaim his woman before Miguel gets too comfortable.  Can't wait for the next update....Oh.if he needs the phone number to  Mr. Plumber to eventually unclog that shower drain...give me a holler....Lol

thanks for the update!  Z needs to come clean and tell Mig by, take leave from the job to go on tour, apologize for leaving our guy in the cold and keeping him in the dark about his child...hell she needs to grow up and quit being so mean to him.   Now our guy needs to calm down and perhaps pull back from Z for a while, even if they do go on the tour with him--just concentrate on being a good dad.

Wow, Miguel is getting serious really quickly! Z needs to go ahead and tell him that she is in love with Matt and nothing will ever change that! I has been a while but you haven't missed a beat. Thank you for the update, I look forward to reading more.
