I see that Lisa is nothing like her parents and why she resents them. Jae Hwa may be just what she needs and the same goes for him. They both have family issues. There is always a good soul that will help others.

I am not sure how I feel about this story yet but this line:  "They both smiled at one another, not knowing that years on down the line, Jae Hwa will remember that kind gesture, and take her up on it in his darkest hour."  has me intrigued.  I can't help but wonder what is going to happen and why he would need Mrs. Walters help as oppose to going to someone else he may have become close to.  As far as this chapter, Lisa shouldn't have left him hanging like that..her father seems means as hell but still...at least give the boy info on how to get back to campus.

Ah heck.

I don't sense a happy ending.

Is this going to be horribly dramatic? Like...Lisa ends up married to whoever and Jae Hwa ends up with someone, throw in some affairs and some divorces, get together when they're like almost 40. Wasted all that time?

 

I know people whose lives are really like that. Although, this one "couple" lives in Korea, and shes his "mistress" and he's married, but he lives with his girlfriend (black/white) and has a family with her. But, he "can't" leave his wife due to his insanely prestigious family image.

 

Some people are just too used to a lifestyle that they don't know how to live on their own. If you're hellbent on being with someone, you find a way and make it work.

I got too much experience with this.
