I agree, that baby has to have some black in her somewhere. It usually happens that way. This next year for them is going to be a serious test of wits. Time will tell if he is his father's son or not. Just pay attention to the signs when they show their faces.

Look at him holding his ground. I would be a liar if some of this stuff didn't rub me the wrong way. But I enjoy a good story like the next person, even if it's related to racism. I wonder what people will say when they find out that the baby is his...

Oh okay... I read that wrong.. I thought she was half black. My b. Now his mother is a straight up bitch. That is your flesh and blood and you want to disown him because he doesna't want to be a Klansman? In what world is is frowned upon to step up and be a father to the children you create??? This sounds extremely interesting. It's sad that the mother died during childbirth. I'm sure that has to be difficult for the father and the child to deal with. Especially the child. Now how this black woman mothered a child from Hiram is going to something to talk about...

I am so in love with the way you have developed this story. Your characters are so flushed out that EVEN though we can easily decipher friend from villain you still manage to leave room for redemption. Hope Hiram and Camille leaves Steven and savanahh at gideons house when driving back to missisipie..the kids are safe in NY... Wish Gideon would give Hiram the house so he can pay back for it in small installments now that he knows in what dire financial need he is and the dangerous situation they are faced with back home..wish Hiram or camille found good jobs in new York that would establish their future in NY..update soon!!!

Actually, I wish they could move now.  Have Hiram take over the deli business and Camille find her a position as a nurse somewhere in NY so they can leave before these punk behinds attempt to mess up their joy.  They have to go thru the courts to get Stevie though during this time, it probably wouldn't be too hard to take him and disappear as no one but her family knows where the Keller's are now.  I keep reading the next chapter thinking soon the confrontation will come and I hope with everything that they make it past it and go on to live a great life.

So much love between them, too bad his background is not one of love, but of hate, anger and violence. But he is doing right by breaking that generational curse. Thank you for the update I love this story it is very touching and i look forward to the next update.

Wow glad They still have Steven & can hopefully adopt him. It's nice to see them with him at church & for him to be accepted in with the other children although he's white & to learn he's gods child & no different. Didn't see that coming Camille's sister is neighbors with Pats parents in Newyork & all this time they've thought their grandbaby dead. now they get they know the truth & get to meet ,Savy, Cam,Steven & Hiram when they go look at the property they have for sale.
