Wouldn't it be something if Hiram's sister was pregnant and have a child that goes back to the African American trait. That would blow up the family. 😳😳😳 I bet steven's mom, dad and grandmother would just die. What better way to say, Guess whose coming to dinner? Now you talking about LOL, LOL, LOL and morE LOL JUST AN IDEA What better way to,say, YOU ARE NOT ALL WHITE!!! if the gene show up with Hiram it could show up with his sister as well 😳

It's a crime that one so young is losing his childhood at the hands of the very folks that are supposed to love and protect him from the outside world. All the hell is right there in their house.

I so hope that Stevie is taken away from these people. I hope that somehow, Hiriam is able to get custody of him. But in a town where the Klan seems to rule, it doesn't look promising.

Take all the time you need to bring the evolution of this story to its conclusion. I love how you are pacing yourself and not rushing the story line.  I am happy you will eventually get Steven away from his crazy ass momma, grand ma and trifflin' ass daddy!

I like the pace of your story.  It is realistic and by proceeding this way, we don't have any dips in action really.  Each chapter has provided us insight into them as people.  I know I feel like everyone is a breathing, living person whether good or bad.  This allows us to feel the characters emotions even more if it was simply fast paced and no background.  This is a great story.

This story is amazing. My heart bleeds for these characters....darn it stop pulling at my heart strings!!! I feel terribly for poor Steven and "lil missy" aka Savvy. They've had/are having such a rough start to life already but there is such a contrast in how they are coping. All the difference is seen in their caretakers. Steven is being punished for his Uncle's "transgressions " it makes it so much worse that the poor lil thibg looks just like him as well. Every time his crazy ass Grandmother looks at her "favorite" grandchild she sees where she won't go wrong with another male child. Absolutely disgusting..I bet that phrase will haunt that poor boy for the rest of his life, he won't want to be anyone's favorite. I love how Camille and Hiram have just grown separately and together to make such a beautiful family. It's fulfilling to read about and picture. I'm absolutely disgusting with the persistence of Debbie and every Klan member really. It's almost as though accidents don't happen down South or something! Can't a runaway car hit her? Or Stevens good for nothing parents collide with a tree after drunk driving? Maybe collide with Hiram family home and everyone perishes in an unstoppable fire? Wishful thinking?  ok ok ok.
