So, sometimes I read late at nigh when I have the place to myself... finally. I just realized that I read this on TST. Since hanging out over here more recently, I think it only fair to comment here too.
I loved this story. What a sacrifice. However, considering that they met independently, I wouldn't have stayed apart, especially after the true parentage was revealed. They weren't blood relatives or steps previously, which indeed would have been a little creepy.
I believe the relationship may have worked out. I'm glad daddy/uncle Kenny still had a major role in Kendra's life.
Another moral of the story could be that your one true love sometimes cannot be ignored, no matter the circumstance.
I'm looking forward to reading more of your work!
Author's Response: Thanks for taking the time to comment again on this blog. I didn't know how many TST members were also members here like you and I. Had I known, I might not have posted it twice. lol. Also thanks for reposting that great moral addition. Reviewer: Bluegardenia Signed [Report This]

Nice story and you know you are telling the truth to regard to the moral...tell the truth aobut the paternity because if you don't it won't be a happy ending like your story.

Nice story..A lot of family tend to hide the parentage of a child especailly back in my grandmother and mothers time...
Author's Response:
I wrote this story because that's exactly what my mother did to me. In fact, she took the true parentage of my father to the grave and none of her living relatives will utter a word either.
From what little I've been able to glean from reluctant sources, it seems the guy was a real powder keg. Although I'm sure my elders think they're protecting me from the man, none of that brought comfort to me 12 years ago when I was sick and needed to know my father's medical history.
As you can imagine, I ended up having to endure a lot of unnecessary medical tests just to find out what was wrong with me. No worries though. I'm much better now and have finally come to a place of acceptance about the whole unknown-daddy thing.
Thanks for leaving a comment on my story.
