Oshun. Orisha and goddess of sweet waters, love and beauty. Revered for her strength and hypnotizing beauty, she was a goddess of the Yoruba tradition from time immemorial. Though the goddess was often associated with traits often lauded about for women, she like any woman had a mood that could turn as quickly and capriciously as the waters for which she is symbolized with. As time passed, who she is and what she represented faded into the background of history. But there is something to be said about old and forgotten things, they always seem to find a way of coming back when you least expect it.
