Summary:

Title: Chapter 4: Chapter 3

The perception versus the reality with Adaline keeps me on my toes. It's easy to think she's like Sasha with the whole not good enough routine, but I see Adaline can put Carla in her place when pushed, without mincing words. With her issue mostly to do with her hearing, it's major and when it affects how you communicate verbally, its easy to "disappear" into yourself. Look at how Carla used that against her to gain a position of power and superiority over Addy. Yep, petty and churlish. Little things like that chipping at her all the time and its something she can't do anymore about than she already has. But seeing her spunk come out at odd times, I think Adaline is going to surprise us in some interesting ways.

And I'm still confused about why her aunt treats her that way. Interesting story there.

Carla's behavior is easier; spoiled brat who thinks the world revolves around her. And she really has a thing about Dom and Adaline together in any way. She seems to talk real offense to Dom ever even looking Addy's way. Even now. I think she still will be a problem, marriage or no.

Yeah, this is the push Dom needs to move on. I don't see how it can't be. Besides, he really does need to sort this Dina situation out before he's ready to roll with Adaline. She deserves that.

Well, your blurb suggests all kinds of things are going to be cooking in this story! Looks like we got something to work with.


I know already that I don't like Victoria. It makes me wonder though what kind of a relationship Victoria had with her sister to treat her child the way she does; Adaline's origins?


Adaline seems to have the ability to put Carla in check when she goes too far. And Carla is a pathetic, shallow mess. Ughh!


I love the hearing impaired with the implants dynamic! Gives the story richer dimension.

For Dom this was the only decent thing for him to do. He is absolutely no good to anyone right now. He needs time to get over what Dina did to him. Period. Who would want him like this right now anyway.

And Addy needs to get perspective as well.

Dom is not necessarily the bad guy here. What he did will benefit both parties in the end. Because honestly, I don't think Addy thinks clearly when it comes to this. He cared enough about her to tell her what she needed to hear, not what she wanted to hear. The easy thing would have been to take advantage of the situation for his own selfish reasons and really end up hurting her a lot worse than this. Addy only sees what she wants and isn't considering the whole picture. If she backed up and looked with a clear head, she would see maybe the guy is not ready for what she needs from him at the moment. That's hard when you are in your own feelngs but I give Dom huge props for doing just that. 

As for Addy, isn't this her time to be working on her own independence and individuality anyway? Right now this thing is still in high school crush mode that never fully matured past that. She needs to focus on herself and her career now. Mature and be her own person that can make it on her own.

It's a interesting position Dom is in. Ultimately, its not his place to tell Slade anything, but I do appreciate what he is saying. He does ha e to see this man daily and to know something like this isn't easy. However, when the time comes, he can remind Slade he did the same while screwing his woman! And that these are the consequences of their actions, not his. They put him in that position.

Dina should tell Slade. If he rejects them again, it's on him. Her hands will be clean with her daughter.

Adaline should concentrate on herself and her craft for a while. Make herself strong and independent.

Title: Chapter 12: Chapter 11

This is the best foundation if Addy hopes to continue with Dom romantically or otherwise. Back to basics! Back to the friendship that bound them together to begin with. They both need this now. They both need someone they can just be themselves with. Warts and all. And to do so without fear of judgment, condemnation, or reprisal over some slight. To let go without all the pressure. There aren't that many people you can truly do that with. So, I'm glad Addy came to these conclusions. It frees her up to that friendship again and enables her to move forward in her heart and mind without him in that capacity. She needed to realize she really could let go and go on without bitterness toward Dom. Release the dream and she may get an even better reality with him. Besides, she has a career she's there to work on.

Dom is still processing and releasing his own drean with the Dina fiasco. He's in no condition now anyway. He needs a friend more than a lover at this point. He's getting there. Its a lot for him, too. His heart was broken in this as well. He honestly didn't see that coming.

Carla needs to be dealth with. Simple as that.

Title: Chapter 8: Chapter 7

Just read the whole thing and I love it!

Dean has an easy sex appeal about him. He doesn't talk a lot and doesn't like games. And he's been on a slow burn for Elle from jump. He probably knocks it out of the park in the sack! You what they say about the quiet ones....

I like Elle and thinks she makes a good fit for Dean. However, this Justin thing has me giving her a small side eye right about now. I just don't believe she's resolved whatever she needs to about him within herself yet. He caught her off guard, but running into him like she seemed...conflicted. I hope she does right by herself and Dean if/when she has any more contact with him. Because although she may not realize it, right now, with Dean, she is on a trust but verify sort of basis.

Tracie is a straight up fool..lol! Love her.

I love that you loved it! Dean is definitely a no fuss and easy going type of guy. Him wanting Elle, regardless of what they’ve been through, is pretty interesting. He's also not a stranger to knowing what to do in the bedroom---which which was hopefully captured through the incident. Elle and Dean really are a good match---hopefully she will see that. Elle has never been good with romance or love.It’s not something that she’s had to be good at to advance in other areas of her life. It's something she’s put on the back burner and kind of let boil over. Glad to see you’re rooting for her to make the right decision and interested in seeing how it all goes.
Justin is a wildcard whose purposes will be revealed soon enough.Tracie is actually just pieces of every crazy person I know balled up into one---so I’m glad you like her. She’s definitely fun to write.

LMAO!!!! No this heifer didn't get drunk and high off her ass, go to Dean's house, lower herself (and him) with that stupid proposition in said state, then proceed to pass out??? She is going to feel like a damn fool in the morning!!! And Dean should be rightly pissed! Is it really that hard to muster up an apology for the guy?


And yes, Tracie is scum at the moment! Really, in this day and age of random psychopaths, who does that anymore?

Well, seeing Justin again went like I would've expected to. But she should have just told him she wasn't interested in "catching up" with him about anything. That she was his booty call and when he was finished he stopped "calling." And yes, told right there on the step of the church! Seriously, what could he possibly want after all this time except to pick up where he left off. He's acting like it's all good. Like she's been waiting on him to actually call or something. Geez! Settle it and move on. Creep!

Yeah...lol...Elle gets no love in this chapter! I agree with a poster that said Elle needs to deal with that Justin thing when it comes up. And Dean needed to call her out on all of her crap because she never gave him a chance to before now. She needed to know it wasn't and isn't ok to treat him like that.

Finally! She apologized! That's all she owed him, really. An apology for her behavior, and to stop that behavior. I also think it was a good decision to be friends for now. Dean may not understand it at the moment, but until she learns how to be his friend, how can she be more?

Is Justine kidding? With their history? Hell yeah its like that! What is he thinking?? Yes, like Tamar says....he tried it. I wouldn't have done a thing! She didn't assess the situation because her giving in was giving him what he needed...again. The stupid begging was just a means to an end. Ughhh!!! I can't believe that just happened. Who gives a damn about his promotion! What is wrong with Elle??

And Elle needs to have a talk with her mother about doing things like that. I'd be respectful, but she'd hear about that little move. Not cool.

And homegirl with Dean was looking kind of possessive there. Not dating, just bed buddies. Don't confuse it.

As for Elle, Dean should take this time to do his own soul-searching concerning her, too. Elle blunders, for sure, but I'm sure there are things he could work on. He could be more communicative. Tell her what he wants and needs and how he needs it.

Well, it had to happen at some point! They need to get something concrete started here.

Good for Tracie telling Gretchen what she needed to hear. Gretchen is too concerned about what Tyler's parents think and she obviously doesn't think she good enough for them. Given her history I see her line of thinking, However, this is HER marriage, not her in-laws, and TYLER needs to tell them that. Unless he's afraid of them too, in which case she has bigger problems than I thought. He shouldn't be letting his parents broker those kinds of personal deals with them or his wife. Draw the line or they will be running that marriage.

That was just delish with Katie...lol! Broke the heifer's mug-piece and left! Yes!!

Yeah, I feel like it’s the perfect time for them to get the ball rolling on whatever direction they plan to take.  And Gretch’s past has definitely afflicted her self-consciousness with her in-laws. I doubt Tyler is afraid of his parents. That conversation with Tracie and Elle about that wax job made my stomach hurt I laughed so damn hard! Tracie and Elle are so stupid together. You can tell they've been friends since the cradle. And Tracie is always getting Elle to do something dumb...lol!

Why is Tracie being so secretive about New York??
