Title: Ezekiel Black
Well, I'm not ready to give up on Zeke just yet. We still have aways to go. This was stupid, and I think he knows it and that he was taken advantage of. I think his frame of mind going forward is to expect the unexpected. He now knows Willoughby will try anything, use anything, to have his way with him, first hand. Couple that with what all three of his parents have been telling him most of his life should give him a fairly realistic picture of the truth of Willoughby. At least as he stands right now.
He also needs this time to center himself and remember why he's there with Willougby in the first place. And he's there simply to get to know him and be a positve influence...if he can. That's not a given. Remind his grandfather of this. As someone said, set some boundaries with him. Tell him to seriously cut it out now. Part of the problem is that Zeke has been on Willoughby's turf and that has given him the advantage. He's been too busy on defense and that has left him vulnerable to attack. Flip the script. Get on offense.
Ask Frank where a church that's like (or close to like) his is and tell the old man that while he's still there, its mandatory that he go with him every Sunday. That will help Zeke stay the course as well. Show Willoughby what his interests are, not just do or go where Willoughby wants all the time. Take him bowling, to the movies, go out for pizza; anything he likes to do at home. Ask him about his father, ask him about his grandmother and the rest of that side of the family. Ask him about himself growing up. Zeke can cover some good ground here. And its something Willoughby isn't used to. Having to cut the crap and just be a regular person doing regular things.
Next, he needs to tell his girlfriend what's been happening here. You battle Willoughby with honesty and truth. Secrets, lies, and intimidation is where Willoughby lives, so Zeke'll never beat him there. It's imperative they keep the lines of communication open.
And might Dee remind Zeke that she's been totally down and pushing for the sex this whole time and he's the one who refused! His blue balls is his own fault on that score! However, remembering why he refused might help clear his head with all the fast girls and porn his grandfather is throwing his way. Which was Dee is the one for him and he could wait for her to realize that.
Willoughby sent that boy home tighter than a damn drum waiting to explode! His stupid friend didn't help the matter. I hope Zeke now knows he was full of crap with his extremely poor advice.
And I'm going to give both of them more credit than to fall for what Willoughby has in mind.
Whew!
Damn good stuff!!!
Author's Response: Flikchick, you're on point as usual! Yes Zeke made a mistake, but he is young and he'd never been exposed to all that Willoughby presented. Willoughby was counting on that to throw him off balance. Now Zeke will have to regroup and figure out what to do next. More is coming up later today, (hopefully)
