Summary:

Again, so glad Ava-Rain has a spine! She's taking it to Caleb and speaking her mind. 

And I understand all of Caleb's reasons for not telling her stuff, but he needs to tell her anyway. 

Love that Caleb's parents (especially his mom) loves Ava-Rain!!

Declan...what can I say...he's my baby! And Rickon doesn't seem quite as bad this time around towards Ava-Rain. If I remember, he was kind of frosty before.

Totally agree! He may not want to tell her, but he most definitely needs to. But he's just so frustratingly stubborn which means his actions are ALWAYS going to be led by his belief that he's doing what's best.

I love Momma Brandt! Caleb's happiness is her happiness, so there's no doubt that she'll love & accept Ava-Rain.

LOL, the love for Declan gives me the feels! As for Rickon, my other favourite twin, I haven't changed his character at all, so his scenes with Ava-Rain remained the same.

Title: Chapter 17: 12 - 'Say goodbye, as we dance with the Devil tonight.'

And here I was giving Ava-Rain props in the smarts department!

I know this is all new to her and Caleb with the cryptic, or, no info at all, has her at a serious disadvantage at times, but I'm gonna need Ava-Rain to think a little more soberly than this. Best friend working for the enemy, being sequestered in her homeand a guard should have told her it was probably best to be still, no matter what she was feeling. She leads with her heart, but she's gonna have to temper that now.

Plus, don't get me started on how this all went for my baby, Declan! Mad at her for that alone!

Looks like Kasey is in the same boat as Ava-Rain. Here Ava-Rain was already starting to have anxiety over the implications of it all. Of eventually having to choose between Caleb and Kasey, and now it seems that point is basically moot. The implications of this for Kasey are far more complicated than they could ever be for Ava-Rain. This one is going to be an interesting pill!

Caleb really is her mate in every way, isn't he.

You're absolutely right. Ava-Rain has definitely been feeling conflicted & torn because she knew that one day she would have to choose between Caleb & Kasey. And although it may seem like it won't come to that, that's assuming that Kasey & Kane will accept each other as mates. And judging by their reactions, that may not be the case (Like you said, this situation is A LOT more complicated for Kasey). So Ava-Rain very well may end up having to make that extremely hard choice soon.

Regardless of his father, I think Dom needs to keep the door open for him. He doesn't need to go on about the situation, just let his father know if and when he has a change of heart, he and his family will be there. Then just go on about his business and life. I say this because its clear Dom is just as stubborn as his daddy.

Why the hostility? They have no idea what happened, so why assume whatever it is, its her fault? I've always said in these situations, forget all the threats and the blah blah blah. Just get the DNA test. That solves at least that part of the puzzle. Then find out the rest. If she were a true gold-digger they would have known about this three years ago.
