So happy to see that Brandon finally confirmed what many of us could see all along, that he does love Diya.  You can tell she is pretty much on Cloud 9 right about now.  With the events in this latest chapter, you would think she would be shouting it from the mountain tops. Unfortunately, I know she won't be doing that any time soon if daddy dear is anywhere within earshot of hearing her.  One things for sure is when the fam lays eyes on her new tat, she's going to have to start talking.

Brandon is such a mystery based on how Diya describes his expressiive eyes/glances

As for Brandon's question, 'Should we talk about this?'.  I think they've done more than enough talking, and expressing how much they've totally fallen for each other.  It's time!!! =0)

Was Diya's anxiety due to her feeling doubts of Brandon's true feelings/love for her?

Awes man JJ, 😱😵, I don't know if I can get through without my Diya and Branny fix every now and again. I enjoy rereading anyway because it seems as if I discover something new each time. My vote would be no, puhleeez, I beg you 🙏🏾 ... don't make us wait. It's up to you though, as this is your masterpiece. 😌

Dag, so the honeymoon really is over, and the ish is gonna start hitting the fan. I can tell by the way Daddy De La Roy has responded so far. I have to give Diya some credit though ... it seems she was trying to hold it down with being open about her relationship.  I agreed with Diya in that, 'that' particular moment probably wasn't the best to introduce Brandon formally as her boyfriend to her dad.  Especially with Mannie (her dads chosen) present.  Also, given that she didn't get a chance to really plan for an introduction, then I would say she held it down pretty good.  Sadly, you can tell she would love to share her new love with the world, but is afraid of how it may impact them.  One thing is for sure is that they're in for a challenge ... one I 'really' hope they're up for.

One question ... will Mal and Camilla ever meet 😾😼?  Wonder what that encounter would be like?

Diya's family is crazy!  Chandi could've had Diya's back a little. Diya couldn't avoid this forever if she wants Brandon to be a part of her life, for the both of them. This seems pretty important to Brandon, and by the way he's reacting, seems up for the challenge  I would think she would give Brandon some fair warning by giving him and idea of what he may be up against based on her families precious antics.  I'm a bit curious about Diya's relationship with her mom. Based of what I'm seeing so far, it seems they really don't have much of a connection outside of her dad.

I can't wait to see how Brandon handles dinner with the De la Roy's. 😈

This chapter was a true page turner!  I love your writing style. Diya is crazy 😄. Brandon is ... *sigh*, *swoon* d84;a039;.  However, he really needs to have a true heart to heart discussion with Marisol. I don't know what kind of spell she has over Brandon, but if he truly wants to be in a serious relationship with someone, then there should be some boundaries set. I'm not saying they can't be friends, but I can imagine how frustrating it is that you can't have an "intimate", drama-free night with your man without all of the constant stalker-ish interruptions. It wasn't as if Oscar was banging on her door at that very moment. Why didn't she caller her brother Rafe if the need was that immediate?!  When Brandon told her, "I'm with Diya!", I took that as having three meanings:

1. I'm in a serious relationship with someone, please fall back. 

2. I'm trying to spend some quality time with my woman. 

3. I'm trying to f@ck my woman, so please stop calling!

I would think Marisol could have come up with an least one of those conclusions, right?! Either she is in denial, she's trying to block, or she doesn't think it's going to last. Either way, she's playing on Brandon's emotions (again). Diya is a good one. I would have been mad as ish that he stopped mid-screw on the ascent.  Sheeeiiit!!!  If it weren't for the binding ropes, she should have jumped on his ass and finished without him while he was on the phone. (I’m just kiding ... well, no, not really 😈). Maybe Mariosol would get the picture then!

After reading through the chapter again, I do get Diya’s reasoning behind why it would be a good idea for Marisol to join the girls on the trip with all that has been going on lately. It really goes to show how much she really does care about him and his well being. After the trip, it may be a good idea for her to share her concerns with Brandon. Something to seriously think about. Hopefully they have a good time, and it’s drama free, (as in, ain't no shady ish goin' down! 🧐). Now, onto Sunday dinner! 😈 I know this will be all drama!

Awwwww man!  💔 I think every bad thing that could have happened went worse!  My heart goes out to both Diya and Brandon. Diya because her family seems just as dysfunctional as Brandon's. Her dad seems a tad bit unaturally obsessed! 👀. I wonder if it's because of the things he's been exposed to as a civil rights attorney?  Her mom seems to be a straight up bitch. 🤨. Lastly, none of her sisters have her back. I get why she was so lonely with a house full. You can feel what she was explaining to Brandon about being the odd one out.  Diya's dad just hammered all of poor Brandon's pre-existing insecurities into him, and added more! 😖 Seems Diya would have spotted a BC 20 miles away based on some of the previous antics her parents have pulled with her past relationships. On the real, Brandon has a lot of d@mn explaining to do, however, I am a bit surprised that Diya appears to have left him hanging during their exit after she was so passionate about then "standing their ground" against papa De la Roy. She should have walked out of the door, and then went postal on his @$$! 🤯.

Now ... onto the tea ... so, wayment ... is Austin and Oscar one and the same person?  If not, let me find out that Marisol is a low key slut!!!  Also ... what is up with this case that Diya's father spilled about?  Some other 'ish that Brandon hasn't divulged yet?  Now, Brandon know he should have 'fessed to everything by now. Her father is an attorney too. He should have fig'd daddy was gonna run that background check!!!! C'mon now!  Also, I wonder what happened to the girl that daddy Warbucks implied she "deserved"?!?! *I'm on pins and needles*. All I know is that Diya better start shopping her resume around, 'cause she needs to find herself some other form of employment. She needs to get from up under daddy's control so much. I know she doesn't want to sever her bond with her dad, but this feels  like too much control to me.  Fabulous update!!! Of course, as always, this chapter only has me wanting more  *100 stars*!!!!! Wow. My heart goes out to Diya. She has absolutely nobody in her court that she can confide in. Not sure if she can rely too much on Zeria, as we haven’t heard much from her since the beginning of their story.    No family, no friends, no  Brandon (and not just no Brandon, but he’s playing the role of daddy and partner to another woman and her 3 kids!). Very lonely space. I think she and Brandon need to have a serious “all cards on the table” discussion about their relationship.   Given there’s so much at stake, (i.e their own relationship, her family relationship, all the BS that Diya’s parents are throwing at Brandon and his livelihood, etc), they need to be open about everything.  

At some point, she also needs to have one with her family about her feelings. Stand her ground and not be so dependent on them (get another job). Maybe if she shows some independence, the others may follow.

Now, I wonder whose rescue is Brandon coming to AGAIN?!?!  More drama!

Uhhhhmmmm.... yyeeahhh.   This is the time where Diya should go from 0 to 100 on his @$$!!!!  She coddles him too much, and needs to demand answers after this ish right here!  All this time, and after she directly asked him about her and experessed doubts. He wanna straight up lie about this? He continuously rags on Diya for, “rehashing this ish again!”, when he hasn’t been honest from jump. She told him, “I trust you to set boundaries to preserve what we have.”, and he hasn’t been doing that at all. Marisol for damn sure doesn’t respect the boundaries, because they can’t even spend time, have a date, without her butting in. Then invites herself on an over night trip with someone else’s man?!?! Heeeyyllll naw!  If she was that nervous about the girls safety, they needed to stay their @$$3$ at home!!!  She already places Diya in the booty-call category. It’s obvious he’s still hiding things based on what her dad found. This is a huge mess, and I can imagine that him coming to Marisols rescue is all the way old. 

Most def givin Brandy the side-eye after this mess!!  He betta start singing like 10 damn canaries right about now! 😡🤬🤨🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥

Wow!  Yeah, Brandon was tryin' a b@tch in this one! 😡  Had a nerve to lie, play victim, and have a 'tude!  He was on one, and Diya was a good one. She was VERY calm. I'm glad she voiced her feelings, but it would've been even better if she had voiced all of her thoughts. I was thinking a lot of the same things that she was throughout their interaction. Yeah, she needs to step back, regroup, and reevaluate some things. Dag, I was halfway pulling for Brandon before, but he done went and showed his ass!! At this point, he had nothing to lose and should've given Diya full disclosure on everything if he really meant the things he was telling her. After this, I have more questions than answers!  Unless he starts spilling everything, he gets nothing!!!  Stay strong D!!!
