Title: Chapter 11: Sugary Sweet

1) YAY! 2) I never thought I could hate Lance more than before, but I do. He did a number on poor Sugar.

Author's Response:

Karma is coming Lance's way.

Title: Chapter 12: Sour & Selfish

I'm sorry, but I need to do this...

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAA!

I'm done now.

Author's Response:

laughing

Let it out, honey. Just laugh it out.

Title: Chapter 13: Tasty Offering

Sully's a real one. Lance is lucky to be alive. Speaking of Lance, it ought to go without saying but I hate him even more now. Man keeps going the extra mile, I swear.

Here's hoping Sully and Chef will get along.

Author's Response:

There is no redeemable quailities about Lance at all.

Title: Chapter 13: Tasty Offering

Something just came to me: with Lance being a violent abuser, the new wife had better be careful. He'll beat her to Kingdom Come if he learns she's seeing someone on the side. Worse if the baby turns out to be a jacket.

I'm no fan of hers, especially since she was happy to rub her elevated status in Sugar's face, but she's in serious danger once the trophy wife smell wears off.

Author's Response:

That is a possibility. Then again, the only reason Lance laid his hands on Sugar was because he thought her to be docile. Mariah is cut from the same cloth as him.

Title: Chapter 15: Salty Scars

It's official - Chef is beyond sprung. And I have every reason to believe that he's not wrong about Lance.

"Damn, she was in trouble. " - Really good trouble, Sugar. The kind you deserve.

Author's Response:

LOL, yes! Sugar deserves some good trouble!

Trust Mallory's d*ck to almost kill the weekend. -_-

Author's Response:

LMAO!!!!!!!!!

Title: Chapter 18: Bitter Pretending

"She needed to reestablish boundaries and rules. She needed to draw a line in the sand to remind Miles Thibodeau that underneath this game of pretending was the truth of where they both stood in the order of things."

Sure, Jan.

"She couldn’t hide it anymore or doubt it.

She couldn’t…pretend anymore."

FINALLY! Welcome to the Truth, sugar, and it will set you free! Embrace all of Miles and enjoy the ride - in every sense.

And Happy Easter, Missus James!

Author's Response:

YOU JUST PULLED THE "SURE, JAN" CARD!!!!!!!!! No you didn't. LMAOOO! You are too much.

Title: Chapter 20: Sweet Compromise

Looks like Chef threw down the gauntlet. Let's see how Sugar handles it.

As someone who's stubbornly independent, I can understand Sugar's wariness very well. Especially when it's a man giving you the law of teh land, so to speak. Especially after Lance.

Let me get a more confortable chair for this ride.

Author's Response:

You know it's 'bout to be a hell of ride in the next chapter, LOL!

Title: Chapter 22: Bittersweet Past

Hmm. Cal didn't cut off Rusty for a flimsy reason, that much I gather. As for Georgette....Sugar had my sympathies at that moment.

Author's Response:

I felt bad for Sugar has I wrote it, but Miles sure as hell got a kick out of it.

Title: Chapter 21: Bold Limits

If this isn't due to Lance, what in Sugar's upbringing made her so hard on herself? Can't wait for that revelation. And yes, she does need professional counselling. Miles and his magic stick can only do so much and no more.

Author's Response:

"his magic stick can only do so much and no more"

LMAO! I've got to agree. Your question about Sugar's upbringing will be answered in the upcoming chapters.

Title: Chapter 23: Warm Gratitude

Wow. Ugly family dynamics is another thing Sugar and Miles have in common, although his rift with his parents is quite different from having an estranged uncle.

More layers to the relationship either way. Can't have it all be ice cream and rainbows, right?

Author's Response:

Nope, it can never be ice cream and rainbows,

Title: Chapter 24: Rotten Intentions

I might be Captain Obvious, but Miles' parents are steaming, stinking evil bags of pure trash. And his mother can shove that faux-concern right up her money maker.

Yes, I'm pissed.

Author's Response:

They aren't good parents, but I liked writing them, LOL.

Title: Chapter 25: Bitter Pill

"We don’t deserve you as our son. We didn’t deserve Melina as our grandbaby.”"

That much I can agree on. Still, this is a terrible blow to Miles.

Author's Response:

It's gonna hurt him bad. :(

Title: Chapter 27: Bland Departure

UUUUUGH, Sugar, why'd you lie to Miles?! All this incognito shyt, WHY?! Especially after coming off the cuastic secret keeping of his bio parents. So much easier if you told the man you wanted to pay your respects to your late fomer father in law. "They were great people in spite of their ainshyt son" - see how easy that was? And what was that mess in the care with Lance, dabbing his tears and all? He's not your husband anymore and he didn't deserve that level of attention then. Leave that to his 'rib'.

Lance. "Only miss the water when the well runs dry" must be his middle name. Glad he now has to choke on some humble pie with a trpohy wife giving her prize to every other rich baller within city limits, and a child he can't possibly pass off as his. I live and cackle. I can just imagine the look his parents gave him when he presented them with their 'grandson'. Especially his mother.

Speaking of Sheryl, it says a lot when she takes a moment out of her grief over losing her life partner to remind her stupid son how much he screwed the pooch. Hpw she and her husband raised such a sad sack like Lance, I can't fathom. Just goes to show - sometimes bad seeds come from good homes.

Author's Response:

"Only miss the water when the well runs dry"

I'm dead.

Title: Chapter 28: Sweet Escape

"Apparently, some young thugs jumped limp-dick Lance and stole his fancy wristwatch. LMAO!"

Sure, Jan.

I really hope Sugar and Miles can work this out, otherwise it will get worse once their baby is born. Oh, and no more giving Lance an inch!

Author's Response:

I always giggle when I see "Sure Jan"

Title: Chapter 30: Lemony Loss

Rusty (boy, if that name doesn't fit) should have either hung himself or just continued his life without bothering Sugar. Since he already had God's forgiveness, what does he need a human's opinion for? And as much as Sugar deserved to know the truth, him going to her was purely self-serving. People like him is why 'forgiveness' makes me twitch as much as 'submission'.

I wish she hadn't pushed Miles away, but she was at  her ;lowest point and felt like a blight rather than a blessing to him. As much as it guts me, I 'understand' why she did what she did.

As for her parents....*deep breath and sigh* did Georgette want Calvin to bring Rusty the Rapist back into the fold, or to finally tell Sugar the truth? If it's the former, I dare say she deserved a slap as well. Why do people think blood means more than anything? Cancerous tumours are also a part of you, but I bet they'd cut those f**kers off in a hurry!

Poor Sugar...she's lost everything she wanted just like that. So horrible.

Title: Chapter 31: Raw Conclusion

Poor Sugar and Miles are two broken souls, and it's killing them in different ways. Damn you to hell, Rusty.

I am glad that Sugar is getting help while in isolation. Might be harsh to cut off her entire family, moreso the siblings who weren't in on protecting the molestor, but I believe she needs to be by herself right now without a million opinions on how she should live her life. She's been denied truth and justice for many years because people thought it was for her best interest. She needs this.

Looking forward to Sugar Daddy. Just let me get my emotions in order first.
