I really like this story! Its about a serious subject matter of how children are handled after the death of their parents but in such a light-hearted way. The characters have been consistent from the beginning. Can't wait to read more:)

COMPLETED! (CHAPTER 30 & 31 UPDATED ON 4/20)
Thirty-seven-year-old Sugar Wallace used her bitter divorce as a sweet inspiration to pursue her lifelong dream of opening a trendy dessert and wine restaurant called Sugar Mama. Her friends and family want her to dive back into the dating game, but Sugar refuses to open her heart to another. Not when the man she gave her heart to for eighteen years of marriage crushed it after cheating on her with a young Instagram model. She's perfectly content with a busy life of running a successful business. Then one night, she witnesses a forty-six-year-old beaten man get pushed from a car and everything changes.
I like the story line. It's mature and realistic. I think sugar doesn't really realize what she's agreed to. Men as determined as chef will always cross the line. Let's wait and see:)

I think it's rather pathetic of her to have ttorch for the friend when he's clearly showing he's disinterested. He's gushing about his romantic date and beautiful gifts to his fiance and she still wants him? I know you'll probably make him break up with the fiance so that he will be in a relationship with her or give her a meaningless relationship as she waits for him to ' come to his senses' anyway that's the plot for many stories here. It paints women in a bad light and maybe it's a reflection of how pathetic we've become in society.
I haven't had the time to look at the reviews, but I must say that I agree with your statement. At the time that I wrote this story, it was never meant for Cole to be with anyone other than Kit and it still isn't. Laura is never developed as a character. But overall, I'm happy with the outcome of my story and don't foresee me making any changes. Keep being honest. I'm very happy that you were. I'm looking forward to hearing more from you.
