Summary:

Is that Caleb?!! Oh gosh, is he going to claim her?? Why is her grandmother so damn mean. She didn't ask for this life I'm sure. How is she ungrateful? Because she wants her parents? Any child would. So what she doesn't want to go straight to college. Not everyone wants that and she should respect her for knowing that and not wasting time. She needs to get over herself and be a grandmother. I wonder why Caleb can't claim her? What war is he talking about? A war with humans?

Caleb seemed pretty determined to reject Ava-Rain as his mate, but that may end up being easier said than done. As for Gladys, she definitely has her issues &, unfortunately, those issues have prevented her from being the grandmother that Ava-Rain needed & deserved. The basic reasons as to why Caleb doesn't want to claim Ava-Rain (a lot of them tie into the 'threat of war' he's referring to) will be explained very soon, but there are also other reasons for his reluctance to accept her & they won't be revealed for a while.

Title: Chapter 11: 8 - 'You are a stranger here, why have you come?'

Awww man she is going to stay a human?!!! That sucks. Now that would have been great!!! Now on to this review...

 

His parents are beautiful. And soo welcoming. I don't blame her for being nervous. Knowing what his pack means to him, this is a big day. I'm glad that everything was going smooth with everyone. Awww Declan is soo shy its adorable. LOl. Haha they called her tiny. Naturally a good chunk of the population is going to be tiny to them but okay. LOl. 

Who is this chick messing up the mood?? I love how everyone was ready to attack her. Love it!! Now is she the chick that Caleb was having those nightmares and flashbacks about? The girl who is the cause of his past demons? Why won't anyone tell her. That has to suck. Soo much going on and you are completely in the dark. 

I think that she and Declan will become close. If allowed to at least. I think that she can help get him out of that shy timid state he seems to be in. Not sure how but I think she can. 

Wow soo that's what their connection can do. I definitely thought she was just being overdramatic. How does she learn how to control it like he does? I know she is going to choose Caleb but he needs to tell her everything. You can't expect her to make a honest choice when she doesn't have all the information. If you know that she is willing to give herself the short end of the stick to protect you and whoever is important to you then you need to let her know what's going on and what could be coming. It isn't right to leave her in the dark and just expect to her to accept everything about your life when you won't tell her everything about it.

Lol, yes, Ava-Rain will stay human. Turning a human into a wolf goes against everything that The Council stands for, not to mention that there's no guarantee that Ava-Rain would even survive the change. Caleb would NEVER want to turn her. Ever. But I promise that although she'll remain human, there's a lot more to her character than we think.

I'm glad you liked the Brandts & the pack! It was a really big day for Ava-Rain & I think she was handling it pretty well until drama came knocking, literally. Angelie is somebody from Caleb & the pack's past & there's a HUGE reason why they were prepared to attack. She's definitely NOT the girl from his flashback & yet another secret that Caleb does not want to share with Ava-Rain.

I've got big plans for Ava-Rain & Declan & I think they'll both be able to help each other to find their own inner strength & confidence.

Ava-Rain & Caleb's connection is no joke! If Ava-Rain chooses to stay, she'll definitely be taking a HUGE leap into the unknown. So I think she'll definitely be asking herself during that hour if her need for the truth is more important than following her heart. She already knows and understands why it's so difficult for Caleb to share his secrets, but is she willing to trust him anyway & accept that secrets come with the territory? Either way, whichever choice she makes is going to have its pros and cons.

Title: Chapter 12: 9 (1) - 'If I could go back in time when you only held me in your mind. . .'

I'm glad that she chose him. I would hate to see them both if she didn't. When they finally mate, it is going to be something serious. They are already burning something fierce for each other. What exactly does he mean by train? Like get her ready for what's coming or something.

It would have been super depressing for both of them if Ava-Rain had walked away, but I'm glad it didn't come to that. They're definitely going to learn that they're better & stronger together than apart. A true alpha pair.

As for when they finally mate, lol, it will most definitely be something serious in more ways than you might think!

By Caleb wanting Ava-Rain to be conditioned, he means that she needs to be trained to be able to handle the effects of HIS elements so that they can't 'hijack' her (like his anger was able to in Chapter 8). Since they are connected/linked to each other as TRUE MATES, they're essentially 'one', in the sense that they will be able to 'feel' what the other is feeling, mentally, physically, & emotionally. Since Ava-Rain is a human, naturally, she isn't equipped to handle the pressure of the elements in the ways that a wolf can. So Caleb needs to train her on how to handle his 'power'. Hope that answers your question!

Title: Chapter 13: 9 (2) - 'Your rescue, my undo; I'm not the one to save you. . .'

Look at her claiming them as her deltas. LOl. I love the bond she is creating with the pack. A true alpha female. I think that is going to be important in the future. What did she whisper to Declan? Not the belly rub!!! That thing there is powerful though. I don't know anyone who can resist it, human or animal. Haha. 


I still want her to become a wolf. Call me selfish! LOl, it would be cool. But I know it would cause a bunch of problems with The Council and the Hunters. Dang!!


So that's what he meant by training her. That is interesting. I can see why that would be important. Especially when things are happening. If she can't control all those emotions it could overtake her and ultimately destroy her. Makes sense. Especially since his emotions are soo strong. 


Sooo that's why Caleb has to stay a secret. The Council is afraid of what the power within him could do. And the fact that his mate is a human doesn't make matters any better. But Ava-Rain isn't a hunter. So will they try to kill him and her if they found out about them? 


So he is going to finally shift in front of her. I can't wait!! 


Side note: Can females have their own pack? Like Caleb does and find a mate. Or am I just thinking too much. LOl

LOL, Ava-Rain totally has the twins wrapped around her finger! She is, ultimately, the pack's future Alpha Female, but the title isn't as important to her. She's just happy to have a family & to be accepted by these strangers that are, quite literally, willing to put their lives on the line for her-a human, whom feels like she has absolutely nothing to offer them or their world. They already view her as their future Alpha Female, but it's a role that Ava-Rain will have to grow into and believe in. Her journey's definitely going to be a tough one.

LOL @ you still wanting Ava-Rain to become a wolf! When I first posted this story, there were some awesome theories that she might be a shifter and that her 'wolf' was dormant. I did say that Caleb would never want to turn her, but that doesn't mean she won't be turned, in some way or another. . .

If The Council were to find out about Caleb, they will do whatever they need to do to ensure the balance between the worlds. As will the Hunters. He is literally not suppose to exist, as there has never been an heir of the four since Chogan & Chayton. I don't think they'd go so far as to kill him, but his existence was kept a secret because his parents weren't willing to take the risk.

Females can totally have their own pack! That's such an awesome question & thank you for asking. Females (wolves) are bred & raised to be just as strong as the males, and there are many packs led by Alpha Females, some with a mixture of males and females, as well as many with only females. But all female packs are more common amongst pure bloods, whom usually CHOOSE their mate rather than wait for Luna to grant them with one. And, in that case, they'll usually choose a mate from an all male pure blood pack (i.e. an alpha female will choose an alpha male), but both pack's will be kept separate and under the rule of their respective alphas. I know, that was a ridiculously long answer, but I hope that it answered your question & made some sort of sense! Lol.

Ohhh man.. What is this dream about. I wonder if that's what could happen to her if she became a wolf. At least that's what I thought at first. It would make sense that she doesn't become one if all of that is going to happen. LOl. 

I can't believe he just teased her like that for some damn information. That's not fair at all. You didn't accept a damn thing, you 'guided' it out of her. If she can't 'guide' stuff out of you then don't do it to her. That's just unfair. You forced that girl to tell you what you wanted to know and then left her out to dry. Rudeness!!

I'm getting tired of this damn girl. Whoever she is, she better be the damn bomb. His sister or some shit. All this crap over an ex is not cool at all. Get it together Caleb and quick!!

There's a lot to Ava-Rain's dream & it's pretty significant to the overall plot. I've always tried to stress and foreshadow that there's a lot more to Ava-Rain than we know, and this dream ties into that.

All's fair in love & war, at least for Caleb anyway. But it was so wrong of him to tease her, wasn't it? Soooo not fair, but there's no such thing as fair when it comes to his mate.

LOL, you're not alone in your feelings! The girl from Caleb's past is somebody really important to the plot as well, as she was somebody extremely important to Caleb. He knows he needs to tell Ava-Rain about her, but, of course, he's going to avoid doing so for as long as he possibly can.

I'm soo angry that I can't even think straight! I can't believe that this damn girl went and met with Jennifer. Caleb told your ass not to meet or even talk to that damn girl. How could you go behind his back and put not only yourself but your Delta in harm's way? What the fuck!!!!! I wish I could punch her ass in the face. I'm sooo angry. I loved Declan. I hope he survives. Do you know what that will do to the pack? To Caleb and more importantly Rickon. I definitely want them to die but Ava-Rain needs her ass beat too. She needs to damn listen!!

Ava-Rain screwed up big time in this chapter & it may end up costing Declan his life, which totally sucks. This whole ordeal is going to be hard on the pack, especially Rickon, and it will trigger certain emotions and memories for Caleb that will make forgiving Ava-Rain difficult.

Wow!!!!! Angie killed her. That's fucked up on every level. They should have killed her. Because you're tired of being ignored?? Seriously? How freaking stupid. That is very sad, a horrible way to torture yourself. But at the same time, I can understand why. He has to accept what happened and move on, never forget but don't allow that pain, anguish and guilt control you. It does nothing for everyone involved especially Caleb. Wow. I feel like they accomplished so much in this chapter. You learn something new every time. I would have never thought there was an heir of 3. Of course she was in love with Caleb, why else would she do that to olé girl. Call me crazy but I'm glad she did. Or Av-leb wouldn't exist. Hehe. Soo Angelie can read minds? Interesting. I'm anxious to find out what these images are and what they could mean. I also want to know how Ava-Rain was able to do that in the first place. After all, she is just human.

They definitely did accomplish a lot & I'm proud of them both for finally talking. Heirs of three aren't extremely rare; typically, they still have parents that have mixed blood. But in Angelie's case—where one parent is an actual pure blood—is rare. I don't think Angelie was IN LOVE with Caleb, but she definitely did love him. In Angelie's case, I guess you could call her a mind reader, but that's assuming that EVERY person's thoughts are able to be accessed by her, which isn't the case. But hopefully her ability will be powerful enough to help Ava-Rain access those images inside of her head.

Oh my.. she is going to let that girl into her head? I hope that nothing happens to her and she does come back from this. I would hate to see Caleb if she doesn't or something bad happens. Aww yay!!! I was right!! Does my happy dance. Hehe. Now that is completely jacked up, one best friend turns on you with the pure bloods. The other, is a damn hunter. Lol. Some crazy situation your in sweets. That still doesn't explain why the pure bloods were watching them? Or were they working together? I'm sure that's possible. That would mean that her best friends were working together too. I'm sure the next add will receal a whole bunch of things. Did they know she was mated to a wolf the whole time and became friends with her because of it? Is it even possible to know who someone is mated to before hand? I don't really care whose pov you use. I think Caleb would be good though, we already know Ava-Rain is going to be all emotional and stuff. Lol nothing new.

Ava-Rain just can't catch a break, can she? Kasey was the only thing Ava-Rain had left to keep her tethered to her 'her normal, human world', & now she doesn't. There's definitely A LOT more to why the pure bloods were watching the Hellands—A LOT of things going on 'behind the scenes'. Lol, I love that so many of you think the Hellands might be sketchy! It would definitely make things interesting if the Hellands were working with the pure bloods, wouldn't it? And wouldn't it just be absolutely horrible if not only Jennifer but Kasey were behind the attack on Ava-Rain? I don't think our poor girl would be able to handle that.

As for the Hellands, there was absolutely no way for them to know that Ava-Rain would be mated to a wolf before hand, but that doesn't mean that they didn't find out. . .Thanks for sharing your input over which POV to use! I wouldn't mind hearing from Caleb, because this revelation impacts him just as much as it impacts Ava-Rain. LOL @ Ava-Rain being emotional is nothing new because you're so right! Being in her 'head' is far too depressing & aggravating sometimes, lol.

Right about now, though, neither Kasey nor Kane seem interested in accepting their bond, & that may have an impact on Kasey & Ava-Rain's friendship. As for Ava-Rain being weak, well, finding out your mated to a werewolf, being kicked out by your grandmother, being betrayed by one best friend, finding out that your other best friend & her family weren't who you thought they were, & all the while trying to find your place in this supernatural world you've been thrusted into probably isn't the most empowering set of events for her to draw strength from, lol. . .

Well damn.. I did not see this coming at all. And here I thought he was just mad that his mate was a hunter. Now he's trying to leave that pack? This is getting crazy. I lowkey want him to leave her and prevent his pack from falling apart. I mean, what's an alpha without a pack to follow him? And they have been there his entire life. I think she would understand that. She should. She could use this time to deal with the Hellands on her own. But allowing Kane to walk away to me shows the pack that they are just as expendable. That's something you don't want in a pack where you put your life and the life of your mate in each other's hands.

There's definitely a reason why Kane would rather leave the pack than accept Kasey as his mate. Every character in this story has their own inner demons, and looks like Kane is trying hard to keep his from coming out. As for Caleb, lol, I don't blame you for wanting him to leave Ava-Rain. His pack needs him right now, but Caleb also knows that Ava-Rain has serious abandonment issues, & although she might understand why he would need to leave, it doesn't necessarily mean that she'll easily be able to accept that choice. As his mate, she's a part of his pack, too.

Who is Igor and why is he a demon?!! I forgot to ask last time. Anyway, Elena needs to be killed. I do not like her, self-entitiled whore. So when Adrian's mother dies then he can kill her?
