Bio:

Pretty smart. Pretty observant. Pretty opinionated. That's pretty much me in a nutshell. I like to read BWWM romances, which, in my opinion, is the most neglected genre in literature on this here floating rock. One of these days, I'll put up a story of my own, but for now, I'm just a kick ass Beta Reader, leaving the occasional well thought out critique and accolade.

I'm cowriting a BWWM book named "The Good Girl & The Porn Star" with Jaye Sims on another account, Jaye N Green. So check it out if you haven't read it yet. It's a doozy!

P.S. I wished for Chris Hemsworth last year and found his beautiful, flawless face on the cover this year's People's Sexist Man Alive in my stocking hanging from my fireplace last Christmas, furthering my belief that the power of prayer is real y'all.

Some people have a type and for Alana Harrison she did and she succeeded falling in love with him. But love is so much more than a type. Love is how that one person can make your heart skip a beat with a simple look - not because they fit your look.

So what happens when someone who is completely against the grain enters your life and messes up your entire look but finally makes your heartbeat?

Title: Chapter 3: Chapter 3

I totally get where she is coming from. I would have reacted the same way. I understand the industry and how stage personas work, but if I can't bring my mother and father to come see you perform out of fear they would have a heart attack in the middle of your set, then it just wouldn't work.

But I think I would have stayed until the end of the set to talk to him and explain why I was uncomfortablt moving forward. I wouldn't want him to try to change my mind, I would just explain that we would continue on as friends...with...benefits. ;) lol

I've always wondered how excplicit rappers who end up with really educated women were able to swing that. Was it the wining and dining and taking them all over the world that broke them down? The great sex? I'm interested to see where this ends up for Alana and Wesley.

Great chapter woman!!

Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Great first chapter!  She did the right thing, and having her girls there to help her out was exactly what I would have done. Looking forward to the next chapter, and the nex...and the next!

Summary:

Lena Harrison just needed a summer job before she transferred from her small community college to the larger state university in the fall. But when she laid her eyes on David Roberts, the young manager of a music store, all bets were off. Summer work just got a lot more interesting.

Title: Chapter 2: Chapter 2

Ummm, ok. Well that escalated quickly, didn't it? The trajectory of their romance seems...a bit accelerated.

I'm so confused. She's naive about men but as soon as he tells her he's interested, she's on her knees, performing oral sex? I mean, she couldn't wait for the dude to buy her a happy meal at least, or something? Why the hurry to jump each other? The character develoment and story arc seems to have taken a backseat to the writer's eagerness to heat up the page.

Author's Response:

Yeah I can see what you mean. All I can say is sometimes people can get caught up in the heat of the moment, not unlike real life. Not every experience has the same trajectory.

Not sure what's going on yet, but I really like dark fiction, so I'm looking forward to finding out.

Author's Response:
