Great update!  I think Val is healing from George's treatment of her and will be on her guard, rightfully so, with Henry.  If he starts to ignore her, she will survive.  Even with the needed editing, I think your writing is superb.

I feel sorry for her... that's hard to break away from someone you really care about but they have issues and are not emotionally available. That sucks..:(

Best thing for her to do is stay away from him until he gets his act together.

Easier said then done..

I find my self so in love with your writing and so very frustrated with Val as a character. Much of her unhappiness is self-induced and it just really gets my goat. But I also like that I care enough about these characters to be annoyed by her inability to see her own greatness.

I love well rounded characters! Henry is a grown up Harry Styles! Great dig at the fans and fics! I love this story for the simplicity and complexities. Val needs to stand but she needs someone to stand with her. Henry is so unselfish, loving, and he legitimately cares about her. I literally screamed when I saw the update.

I really just love this story! The characters are all so different and have personality. I really just want Valerie to be happy. Her mom's not shit in my book and neither is her dad. How could you tell your child that she should of been happy that her ex who obviously didn't really care about her was the best she could do with how she was at the time...Her dad's not shit because he didn't even remember her birthday. That's not ok.I'm glad Josephine was there to be in the middle when Ella jumped in on Valerie. They really need to let her live her life judgement free. They know how much their negative words mess with her. It's not right for them to just talk to her any kind of way. I'm glad Henry called. He always seems to be there when she needs him. I wonder why they haven't talked in a month...I'm anxious lol. Love love love your writing!

Val's momma is a bitch!  She would benefit from alienating her parents as thet really don-t swems to love or care about her anyway.  They care moee about appearances than her as their daughter and human being. I don't know if I trust that Joesphine chick, that openly flirting with Henry irked me.  Ella is right Val can't handle a friends with benefits deal with Henry.  She already has deep feelings for Henry but she's in deep denial and combined with her lack of self-esteemel she is going to fall apart.

Damn that was a great update. Im upset they didnt talk it out and let the akwardness hang over their heads but that isnt Val's style so Im gald shes growing . F*** her moms man!!!!!! I know the feeling I want her to be happy . Im mad Henry just left her hanging . But maybe he needed to distance himself so he can reflect.. I hope so
