Title: Chapter 4: 2. Some Things Never Change

Another great chapter, I am trying to get use to all the characters. I am looking forward to the next chapter. Glad Adina got out of the houst looking forward to learning more about Hatch. Even though I am an Ant girl Hatch seems to love Adina even though I am not sure she will ever see him the same way. Love the friendship between Adina and Evan.

Title: Chapter 9: Love Actually

Yet again you amaze me with the words  you write, this was one of my favorite chapters so far. I mean reall Shaw who was the prick knew the truth about their relationship and the relationship she has with Bear. I loved the conversation between Grady and Monty about Mari. I am not to fond of the up chuck but she told him about her pregnancy without dancing around it or even avoiding it. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Title: Chapter 8: Soul Food

You enjoy torturing us, I know you do. LOL I am like falling off my chair for more and you give us just enough to hook us and then it ends and we are sll left on the floor. I love Nana Mae giving Bear the advice he needed to hear. Looking forward to the next chapter I hope it will be Bear and Marisol together in the same chapter.

Title: Chapter 3: Gone Baby Gone

Another great chapter, Paul is and bipolar ass. I mean really he calls her a slut and then gives her a ride. I am not made at Mari her need to protect herself seems to be greater then giving into her heart desires which is Bear. Looking forward to how bear reacts to Mari leaving. Can't wait for the next chapter.

Title: Chapter 7: She's Having A Baby

Mari, is pregnant, doing the happy dance and in no way shape of form can it be Shaw's that prick. Bear is going to have a cub. Awww. Well now the fun has to stop because it comes down to the do I tell him, or I don't tell him, or when will I tell him. I think Bear and Mari really have some talking to do. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Title: Chapter 6: The Devil's Advocate

And thinks just got even more interesting in these parts. It seems to me that Grady (Bear) Halpern left more then a lasting effect on Mari. I say in 9 months Mari will be looking into the face of Bear yet again. Seeing as though their first time protection wasn't used and it didn't last too long. I am so looking forward to the next chapter. As for Shaw a good swift kick to the family jewels will get that nasty talk from his list. I love how Mari can't seem to move on from the FB page, but apparently she accidentally hit the accept button.

Title: Chapter 5: A Family Thing

The two brothers fighting was too much for words but I love how in the end Paul-David wanted what was right for Bear. The line of the chapter had to have been, "my brother is sprung off a piece of your sweet potato pie. " LMAO Looking forward to the next chapter.

Title: Chapter 4: Music and Lyrics

Another great chapter. Mari misses Bear even if she aint really willing to admit it. Paul-David is an interesting creator to say the least he wants to protect his brother but I am not sure from what. And then we have Shaw who would have gotten a swiift kick to the nuts rather than his family jewels twisted. Looking forward to the next chapter.

You have this way of making me feel like I am right in the room with these characters and I feel like a pervert but I love Mari and Bear (Grady). Looking forward to the next chapter.

Title: Chapter 1: Like Crazy

I have to say Alicia and Morgan were a very intense couple. I could not stop reading it was so good. I don't think it was dark and much as it was twisted that these two people were so in love with each other that the only way they knew how to express it was through violence and sex. But even in sor dark twisted way you knew they were so meant for each other. This was a great one shot and I truly enjoyed it.

Title: Chapter 23: Chapter 22

Another interesting chapter, filled with love heartache and something else. Nyla knows something isnt right she knows that she wants to let Gavin know that she is OK, but she is also torn. Seeing Greg and Ava again was one of the things she wanted most, but it doesnt feel right. That somethimg is missing its not that overwhelming feeling of joy and happiness. It's almost as if its not what will complete her. Hopefully she figures it out before it's too late and she does something that she can't take back. Gavin is dying slowly over this but his parents are right he needs to start livimg for them, acting like they will live and he will have his fsmily. First thing first taking a shower, kicking Nyla's mother to the curb and getting something to eat. How can a mother see her child in a coma and make it about who she thinks Nyla is, she made me want to punch her in the face. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Title: Chapter 1: Prologue

This story is the sequel of Illusions: The End.

Emma is on the brink of depression and she has lost herself. George finds it incredibly guilty to cope with the guilt he feels for causing her to lose her psychological equilibrium. Will they be able to get back together, or will Tyler be the best person to pick Emma up and make her feel herself again?

Interesting start to the sequel. Depression is a illness that is truly hard to over come no. But I am wondering if Emma's depression really has anything to do with her relationship to George or if there is something more to it.

I thought they guy Emma was seeing was named Taylor, unless Tyler is someone new.

Author's Response:

I meant Taylor. Sorry, I was thinking about another story I was writing.

I'm not a hundred percent certain about the cause of Emma spiralling into depression. Surely her relationship with George played a part. She started thinking irrationally and having negative thoughts. She still keeps up the front, but she's not well. She's changed. She has no self-esteem.

Thank you for reviewing. :D

Title: Chapter 14: Chapter 13: Unfaithful

Maybe its just me but Tyler deserves better then Alex. She thinks she needs to save Lucas but the reality is clear as day, She has feelings for him and needs to figure them out and leave Tyler alone. No wonder the guy has a hard time trusting. I mean really Tyler shouldn't tell her who she can and can't be friends with but he shouldn't have to be second in his own relationship. I hope Tyler gets some balls and leaves Alex so that she can be with the guy that everyone seems to want her to be with any way. She so could give a rats butt about Tyler's feeling, she proves that over and over again. I need to talk care of Lucas...blah...blah...blah. Lucas is a grown ass man that knew what he was doing and he knows Alex so well because he plays her like a fiddle. He was drunk enough to get himself to the party, he can be drunk enough to get himself home. I hopw Tyler isn't there when Alex gets back. I hope he writers her a "Dear John" letter an picks up his self esteem on the way out because he loves Alex, but I don't think Alex respects him or loves him he needs. It makes no damn sense how every one blames Tyler from screwing up when the reality of his situation is, he doesn't know how to trust or love without conditions. He doesn't trust that Alex loves him as much as she claims to and the fact is he might be right. I would like to see Tyler go out and get help, but there isn't a medical drug that can help him with his trust issues, because the truth is he has a reason to doubt her and everyone else around him. I might be the only one that likes Tyler, but this is ridiculous at the amount of hoops that he has to jump through to please Alex, her family, her friends, and Lucas can get away with being an ass because he's drunk. Forget that, hopefully Tyler will start making some changes starting with leting Alex go. And beginning to care about himself more.

Author's Response:

I don't see Tyler breaking up with Alex any time soon. However, I do agree with you. It seems that a break-up might be better for the two of them. Alex is clearly confused and she has feelings for Lucas. It is clear as the day, even though she does not want to acknowledge the fact. She needs to decide what she wants. Poor Tyler has issues, and no one wants to understand that his trust issues cannot be solved until he sees someone and Alex stops doing things which will cause him to doubt her.

Title: Chapter 12: Chapter 11: Bulletproof....I Wish I Was

Please don't get offended by what I am about to say because I might be all types of confused. But Tyler has trust issues but all I see is him being put in situations where his trust issues aren't unwarranted. I mean really why keep making him spend time with people that don't like him because he has done a lot of things in the past that have made them not like him. How is he supposed to spend time with her family when he knows and see that her parents love Lucas for her then him?? Alex isn't helping the situation in regards to Tyler or Lucas. And I know a lot of readers like Lucas because he seems to treat Alex better then Tyler because lets face it Lucas doesn't have the issues that Tyler does. I am not defending Tyler's behavior but he isn't blind and the more Alex denies what is going on with Lucas the more paranoid Tyler will be which isn't really paranoia because she was flirting with Lucas. Tyler has the hardest time expressing his feelings in a way that doesn't make him come off like a total ass. Maybe its me but why hasn't Tyler gotten help??? He has trust issues and the relationship with Alex isn't helping. I like Tyler but I feel like every chapter is pointing out his flaws in regards to how he treats Alex to how lucas does. No wonder Tyler fears loosing her to Lucas because basically he is and its not because of how he treats Alex, but how Alex just is with Lucas. Maybe Alex needs to admit the truth let Tyler go so that Tyler can focus on himself rather then seeing a truth that Alex keeps denying.

Author's Response:

Dear JovanBleu26, believe me when I say that I was not offended by your review. In fact, I loved it.
You're right. All the world can see that there is something going on between Lucas and Alex, but the two of them. Anyone would be jealous if they were in Tyler's shoes. The problem is that Tyler has his own baggage which makes him more insecure than the average guy. No one really understands him. He fails to understand himself sometimes too.
Tyler is not getting the help he needs because he's afraid. He's afraid that if he gets over his fears and issues, shit would still happen which would undermine any progress he made. Do you really blame him when his girlfriend and her best friend seems so awfully close?
Yes, Tyler has flaws, and Alex does as well. You'll soon see a pattern. She runs away when she's confused or hurt. She always does. She runs away from her problems instead of trying to solve them unless it's completely necessary.
Alex and Lucas have their own way of treating each other. I guess you haven't seen much of how Alex and Tyler were in the past. They have their problems but they do really love each other. I guess there is a lack of communication between them that is ruining everything.
I don't know if Alex would necessary admit to herself anything. She loves Tyler. She really does.

Title: Chapter 9: Chapter 9 Broken

For some reason I don't think Imogene nor Declan give Mallory enough credit nor do they understand that she has an inner strengthen that they both might want to take notice of. She loves Rory he is are hearts desires and no matter how one tries to hurt her and the other tries to coddle her, she is what Rory needs to start fighting for himself. Sometimes it takes something drastic to show them the way. Mallory sensing that Rory would rather take a beating then stand up to the man who made him this way, will stand by Rory more so then let her hatred deterr her from being with Rory. Rory and Mallory are two broken souls that see each other for who they are and I think they both need that. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response:

Yes, everyone  has this misconception that Mallory's weak solely because she's blind but the reality is she sees far more than anyone else. She's strong for Rory and in turn, Rory's strong for her. They need each other and once they recognize that and stand tall, no one will see them coming.

Thanks for reading and reviewing! I enjoy your insight into  these complex characters :)

Title: Chapter 5: Chapter 5 My Love

OK,  so what can I say about this chapter. I think Mallory's friends and Declan need to step back and let her deal with her past and her present the way she wants too. Rory has to be able to have a conversation with her without feeling all the pressures of the world on his shoulder because it doesn't help his anxiety which doesn't help his OCD tendency. When you are having an anxiety attack its hard to get out of your own head. Rory wants to clear the air with Mallory he wants to be able to look at her without the guilt and the horror of his actions. He is trying to face that pain he caused without having a mental break from reality. Mallory knew what would happen it he got anxious and she tried to calm him down and an accident occurred. Declan is beginning to irk me because of this need to be this protector when he cant protect Rory or Mallory from the truth or their past. He seems to think he failed Mallory but she made her own choices and he and her friends are going to have to step aside and let her face this on her own. Him going to beat the hell out of Rory because he can't control a illness annoys me. Because he doesn't live in Rory's shoes nor Mallory's but he thinks he knows, he thinks he knows what is best. This chapter was very intense. And I enjoyed the moment between Mallory and Rory. Truly looking forward to the next chapter and seeing Rory and Mallory and what happens between the crew/Declan/and them.

Author's Response:

While I was writing it, I wondered "Am I getting this right?" I often wondered  how a person with OCD functions. What would be going through their minds? How would they see the world? How would they react to that world? I think that's what fascinates me about Rory- out the outside, he's this well put together man, who has everything he could possibly want. On the inside, he's this broken shell of a man. I love that Mallory compliments him with her own inner strength. I believe if (ahem, when) they can get past the problems of the past, they'll be awesome together.

Their time alone will come, rest assured.

Thanks for your insight and perspective!

Title: Chapter 6: Chapter 6 Black and Blue

I have to say I love that some want Mallory and Declan together. But I realize that sometimes the person that is right for you isn't always best. Declan is right for Mallory but I think the reason Mallory was drawn to Rory was because she was/is going to discover something truly profound and deep about herself. The thing about artist or any creative type for that matter is there is something that they can see that not all can see. Rory isn't this blank canvas, he is this beautiful picture of mixed emotion, and contradictions that when you see him, truly see him, you are able to understand him. Its the connection that draws Rory and Mallory together. Declan is like a blank canvas in the sense that no matter what you paint of him you will always be able to understand and connect to him. He's like an open book. And in the end I think Mallory and Declan are too alike in so many ways that it will take away something in the both of them. Their friendship is what they both need. But anything more might destroy them.

Author's Response:

You get this story...I mean you really get it! Rory's a beautiful contridiction and somewhat unnerving but it's his vulnerable side that's really endearing. He's broken , so much so that it takes Mallory to piece him back together again. I agree, Declan's just right for Mallory, which means that he's all wrong for her, especially now.

I hope you continue to enjoy the story!

Title: Chapter 6: Chapter 6 Black and Blue

Another amazing chapter, I feel so bad for Rory and Mallory because they are both slowly dyinh and their is nothing anyone can do because its them that has to face each other. Rory is slowly dying because the guilt, plus his OCD, plus the fact that he sees what he has done to Mallory and he can't seem to realize that it was an accident. He wants to pay for that night, he wants to make it right for Mallory but he can't because he can't face it without spiraling into a darkness that holds him hostage. I used the word darkness for a reason because Mallory is totally in darkness but on the other hd even though she is in total darkness she wont seem to let the light shine in, because she too is afraid of those emotions that hold her hostage, she is broken and no one can help fix her until she is ready to not only deal with Rory but open the blinds to let the light shine through. I am glad she has Declan, and even though he sees te hell both Rory and Mallory are in their isn't anything he can do to help them. He can support Mallory and he can try to protect both Rory and Mallory but in the end he feels as helpless as Mallory and Rory.

Author's Response:

Yes, it's definitely up to Rory and Mallory to do the footwork here and it's the footwork that's important! Declan , at best, is a by stander; only able to watch Mallory and Rory from a distance. In this game, it's best that Declan stay on the sidelines.  Only Mallory and Rory can find the peace they're looking for.

Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Title: Chapter 2: Chapter 2- First Impressions

OK, I am loving this story because Rory is a man that has an illness that no matter how hard he tries to push it down. A person with a case of OCD and anxiety the two are very hard to control no matter how many meds he takes. And the fact that the one one that he loved/loves is back in his life so to speak its just going to get worse before it gets better. Hopefully Mallory and Rory can help each other heal. Looking forward to learning more about the two, their relationship, and what their future holds.

Author's Response:

I definitely wanted to show how two people could be so different, yet so alike.  Both Mallory and Rory have a road a head of them. It will be interesting to see their journey.

Title: Chapter 3: Chapter 3 Smoke Without the Flame

Another amazing chapter. There are so many words swirling in my head in regards to this chapter. I mean Mallory is still so in love with Rory that she has all this anger and resentment. But she can't hate him and that is very understandable but she truly would like to know what kept him away. That truth alone will help her heal. And I know her friends love her and even Declan but none of them can understand what Mallory feels and what Rory struggles with just to make it through the day. Declan might think he knows but he has no clue and the fact that he is angry is very interesting since he wants to be his bother and Mallory's protector. To bad he can't protect either one of them from their hearts desires nor can he protect them from the truth. And since no one not even Mallory herself knows the truth of why Rory stayed away I will not make any assumptions. And neither should her crew who has no clue about the accident, Rory, or the demons he runs from. I like her friends and I love that declan has stayted close to Mallory but I have a feeling they aren't going to agree with her choices when it comes to Rory. As for Rory there is still something about him that pull me towards him. His OCD is very interesting especially eith the number 3. My OCD doesn't allow me to deal with odd numbers its very strange and people tend to look at me like I am crazy but it has to be an even number our I will somehow make it an even number. So I understand how the number 3 calms him. I looking forward into learning more about Rory and Mallory together and apart.

Author's Response:

Thank you! I've  been doing some research on OCD  in preparation for this story and was truly taken with what I found. I can only hope that I am doing justice in the portrayal. Most often, writers only bother with the surface of issues-me, I like to dig in. So if there's anything you take issue with, please, let me know!

As for the story itself, yes, there's a lot of turmoil, resentment and anger abound.  This story is full of complex issues and of course, the most complex issue of all- love. No one understands it more so than the ones involved and I think Mallory will explain that to her beloved crew.

Thanks for reading and reviewing- and for the awesome insight!

Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 : Chance Meeting

While I was writing it, I wondered "Am I getting this right?" I often wondered  how a person with OCD functions. What would be going through their minds? How would they see the world? How would they react to that world?

My Answer:  Think about it this way during any type of aniexty attack you feel like the wall are closing in on you no matter how hard you try to breath or wait for it to pass its this fear of suffocation that holds you down and no matter how you try to fight it, it makes it worse not better. Those OCD tendency that you have come out in full force because its something that you can control even though you can't control yourself. So basically when you are in that place you don't see, feel, or hair anything. You are stuck in the quick sand and you can try to fight it but nothing but your "safety" zones help. Its kind of like Rory sees Mallory on the ground in the glass but does he really see her??? Basically the way you describe Rory's action are true to the OCD illness.

Title: Chapter 7: Chapter 7 Just Give Me a Reason

Welcome back. But you are killing my anxiety with this story. I feel like Mallory wants to be loved by Declan but wont be able to give him what he needs in the end only because her heart is tied to Rory no matter what she thinks she wants in the moment. Rory has a lot of issues that stem from his parents and their treatment of him. Declan was loved and he knows how to love. Rory was treated like a prisoner and the only way for him to survive was his OCD. His parents don't get that, his parents seem to think that he can just over come this because he is an adult now. I don't think there is an drug that will magically help him get better. Because the fact is the more Rory fights it the more it over takes him.

Declan needs to back off of Mallory, I know he loves her but he seems so obsessed with her that he is going to be hurt when Mallory stops hurting. Per her words she is tired of hurting but either she or Declan are going to have to stop because this may feel good in the moment but when all is said and done is ewveryone will suffer in the end. Poor Rory is spinning out of control and I don't think Declan will be able to save him. Because at some point like at the end Declan will start thinking about himself. Mallory is the only thing that makes Rory feel alive and "normal" but Rory even knows he's not good for her. That to me shows how much he does love her. He knows he can't give her the things that Declan can. And that's what breaks my heart because Rory has had to suffer for Declan to have what he has had.

Looking forward to the next chapter even if it kills me and my anxiety. I just hope something stop Mallory and Declan from making the biggest mistake. Because I don't want anyone to get hurt.

Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 : Chance Meeting

@FlikChick,

You brought up an interesting point, I find it interesting that they are all about running Rory's life but let Declan do wjhatever he wants to, they aren't pushing some woman onto. But Rory, is the one they focus on like he is the prince to the kingdom and all Rory really wants is to be free of them. Declan seems to be free and able to feel the way he feels and its funny how I think Declan resents Rory, but in away Rory protect Declan from the cruelty of their parents. And I don't get the feeling that Rory resents Declan but I think Rory doesn't understand how he was treated the way he was and Declan was loved and cherished.

Title: Chapter 8: Chapter 8 Weight of the World

Wow!!! I want to feel sorry for Declan I do but something stops me because he seems to want Mallory's happiness but he is torturing himself at the same time. He can't be her hero if he can't regain his emotions and reel them in. The fact that he was so engrossed in the fantasy tells me he needs a little distance so that he can maybe find someone that will love him for him, not because he is strong and has always been there for her.

I so want to take a knife to Collins throat he and his wife did this to Rory and now he thinks he can beat it out of him. I so hope he gets a swift kick to the nuts because Hejaz no right to beat on Rory when it's because of him Rory strives for perfection. I am glad Declan got there in time because I have a feeling Rory would have kept taking the beating because he just crumbles under his own anxiety.

Its a shame their mother finally realizes what they all did to Rory. But it's a little too late for any type of forgiveness. The one thing that seems to always penetrate Rorys shield of anxiety is Mallory. Maybe now she will begin to understand that even though Rory wasn't there for her in the present he was never far from her in spirit. They need each other so much so that it hurts. And maybe this will heal them both. Looking forward to the next chapter.
